I think Remedy has some of the most talented designers of the whole industry.

Yes, I think it would be stupid of him not to apply for the job. But I know him and it's a huge step for him.

    Take the goddamn risk!!!

No seriously, I have zero modeling experience, I'm weak at texturing and I don't see my future career in the gaming industry.

Blaz, on the other hand, has all the talent, knowledge and passion required.

Dammit Remedy is certainly on it again, and this time they show that the company can change and do something different for a while (would be a good lesson to learn for id eh?). And they really have the most talented developers there.

I would apply for a position, I got good few years of 3d studio max experience, but it's not about that it's more about the fact that I have too much respect for Remedy and I don't think I have the skills needed to do something up to their level of work.

Remedy is as finnish as fucking rössypottu, tho I think rössypottu is more from karjala than finland, and in that case, Remedy is more finnish than fucking rössypottu!

I sure hope so, but I'm glad I got a backup plan if this EVTEK thing backfires.

But let's just hope the best so that it doesn't mean a year of sad for me

I know a programmer from remedy and he (unofficially of course) said that they are always open for interns.

A new movie is out. http://www.alanwake.com/movies.html

The game looks fantastic and the story seems to be very interesting.

/ I just noticed that the level of detail system doesn't work so well. The trees get kinda darker when coming near and this looks strange. (yeah, yeah I know but hey, here at mapcore we may criticise such little things )

Yeah, wouldnt mind if they turned the LOD off just for the trailer. But yeah, looks sweet, wont really judge it until I actually know something about the gameplay, but it certainly looks interesting

wow that looks awesome, but those trucks look a little low-detail but im guessing theyre just placeholders or something. i think its going to be about his horror stories coming true or something like that.
