Shall we repeat it? Hmm... For now, I'm sticking to the same goals of past year.

Gonna learn some new modelling software. I'm actually starting this year, with Modo. Really gonna push myself out of my comfort zone with the art I'm creating.

Also, I'm marrying my girlfriend, I proposed last weekend :) And... buying a house. And mayyyyyyyybe might have a kid on the way at the end of the year too. Mental.

Pampers, good luck! Houdini is awesome. Not tried it myself but seen lots of others try it out. Amazing stuff is possible with that piece of software!

It’s time for me to start trying to get interviews going and break into the industry. Making the career switch in 2018 would be the dream.

    1. Learn Modo.

    2. Continue work on current game.

    3. Prepare portfolio for career switch (est. 2019).

    4. Get a dog? Probably get a dog... if not a house then dog. I want a dog. Boop the snoot.

    1. Finish up my horror-themed game so I can finally update my portfolio after 3 years of nothing.
    2. Update my portfolio website with more development process screenshots and information.
    3. Create an amazing game (and levels) for another project I'm working on with a great group of people.
    4. Solidify/enhance my skills and practices as a level designer.
    5. Create lots, fail often, learn more.
    6. Get the fuck out of QA and into a designer role.
    7. Hopefully get a little pupper of my own <3

    • Save for my adventure
    • Make a game all by myself, mostly for shits and giggles, but I'll learn a lot
    • Get a little fitter, I'm not in bad shape but can always improve

Be more honest. Procrastinate less. Exercise more, lose a buncha' weight and stick to a more consistent schedule, no more "oops I stayed up until 3 AM again".

I would love to get some work in the games industry this year... still feels really far away.

Other than that just trying to finish the projects that I start and taking one day at a time.

Nice, loads of good posts! As for me, I want to make 2018 one of the most important years of my life.

    • At work, it's all lining up and there's some really exciting things to work on next.
    • I want to show the small game I've been working on by myself for a while now, I just wanna get it to a stage where I'm comfortable showing it first, then I wanna keep showing progress regularly, getting feedback and all that shebang.
    • And last, but not least, we're having a baby, due around June!

For the first time in a very long time I'm not actually sure what I want. There's some easy ones like get better at Japanese/French or lose more weight (down 20lb this year so far :) ) but for the real life goal ones I'm not totally sure. I guess I have to think about it.

2017 has been kind of a weird year in some ways.
