    Quote from DaanO

Cool scene, very original. The perspective is nice as well, you're a good drawer. Besides that, it would be even better if you would draw with some better pencils and draw straight lines actually straight

I had only a fucked up ruler so I used it only for the perspective lines. Will look for some better pencils then, I used a regular school one

hate to say it buts its simply a two point perspective drawing. Use the theory but be more creative with it. It is a bit symetrical too. Try setting one point on the page and one point two to three pages away. It'll take a large desk if you're using a ruler. If you dont use a ruler though you can get a nice "organic" feel where everything doesn't line up.

This took me many many sheets but its something that uses 1 point, 2 point, and a little bit of 3 point perspective to get the feeling. Didn't turn out how I wanted too and I really wish I could've painted over it instead of it just being boring contour lines, but I ran out of time and sadly can't go back to it.

    good luck!

I don't get why I would use 3 points perspective if my intention was to create a scene exactly from that point. The sorta symetrical look was also planned, I wanted to create a chaotic scene that had a '/\' feeling.

About your drawing, I kinda like the style of it but I'm not too fond about the perspective. The debris also come from nowhere, it looks rather like something is throwing them towards the tank than that actually something exploded there.

When sketching, this technique often gives some nice results. When you look at a human being, at the outlines, some outlines are really light (you'll see like a white edge). The other outlines consist of shadows. Hard to explain but you'll probably get it. Draw the lighter outlines with a really thin line, and the other ones much thicker. If you do it right it gives a nice 3D effect, try it.

That's how you do it: Make lots of random lines and then you try to find characters in the mess! It's a lot of fun, you people should try too.
