Awesome topic! :) Would be interested to see folks' SP faves.

All of the ones mentioned here are great... love for Gulf of Oman. :) But.......... Maybe it's nostalgia but for me:

I'm not sure what to say really. I can't think of one single map, as I can love different game modes, plus I'd want to put a singleplayer level for compensation...

When playing Backlot I always had a feeling that it was an improved version of this map. Am I the only one?

Completely different layouts but I guess they share some things. Both maps have many rooftops or high grounds where you can see alot of the map from, and both are set in cities in the desert. Can't believe they haven't remade toujane. It was the dust2 of CoD.

When it comes to singelplayer I don't even know what to say, when I think about I haven't played very many singelplayer games.

Like someone mentioned, if I think of DM maps, I can't think of a map where I spent more hours than DM_Morpheus (UT)

    [Blocked Image: http://liandri.beyondunreal.com/w/images/FC-Morpheus.jpg]

but I feel you can't name one map... in multiplayer there are so many game modes hence many maps that are gonna be perfect for the respective modes. And then there's the SP...

Ye in the brevity I didn't explain myself properly I guess; what I mean is that I have the very same feeling of perfect rotation, you always meeting someone, everyone has always the opportunity to use the surrounding area to his advantage...

Katabatic from Tribes: Ascend, though I haven't played earlier Tribes games so I don't know about earlier versions of the map.

A lot of other Tribes maps were really good too, like Raindance or Sunstar.

Well (TFC version), Life of the Party, Sacred (Painkiller), dust2, avalanche, crossfire, etc

Anyone noticed how avalanche is only made on a 90° and 45° grid, but still appears so pretty?

I can't really choose just one... so I look like an ass taking up so much space.

Cod4 had some great SP moments. The sniper mission is probably my favorite.

I remember me and my brothers being super into WW2 games when we first got our pc.

The D-day level from Allied Assault was probably the most memorable level from that period for me.

Ashenvale from World of Warcraft is so nostalgic it hurts.

Have you looked at some screens? Biggest thing is it's an uphill struggle for the Allied. No other (MP) map ever pushed verticality as much I think. And considering the tools of the time, I'd say it was an achievement just building it, but it also plays well!

And it feels very asymmetrical, although if you look at the overview posted above, it's not really.

I played countless hours on jedi acadamy with lugormod. It made for some really amazing creations and a lot of fun.

    Screw piranha's.

Ho yeah, this whole India world is on my top from all Tomb Raider levels. A good vibes and nice pacing. It's a shame TR3 have some dumb level as Nevada and some in london as well. all other are top notch.

    I may choose madubu's gorge instead :
