Looks too boxy for me. Not saying that they have to make it alike all the other space games, but this looks like the old game with props and bump mapped textures.

Teenager me from 1994 is super excited about this. Shodan's voice at the end is

Warren Spector being at the helm of System Shock 3 (and possibly this HD remake of SS1?) is the icing on the cake. I trust he'll keep with the vision of the first and second SS games.

Interesting idea, I would have prefered a new take on the franchise rather than a remake with the same look of the original made tech 2016 but this does look pretty cool all the same. Let's be honest, had Doom 4 done this, we'd all be jizzing onto our monitors, in fact.. I demand DICE scrap the current version and start doing that right now...

Gives me Event Horizon vibes… Im still not fully convinced by the environments, although I know they follow the original. Maybe that's what's gonna make it more scary in the end.

Inventory system seems clunky, maybe is still temporary(?). Also zombie animations are taken straight from HL2?! :D

Cool the initial sequence of assembling the suit parts to enable certain HUD functions.

I found it weird that the PC knew where in his head to slot those things without a mirror. He did just wake up from a medical coma with those cybernetic enhancements brand new to him.

Also, I don't like the mid-screen scrolling text to recognize actions, I'd much rather it be a text log in the corner. Kinda feels like they're investing in fancy animations and UI effects and particles to distract from the blocky environment, without realizing that it just distracts people from their ability to suspend disbelief and use their imagination to fill in those details. When I'm playing old PC games I don't notice their geometric simplicity past the first minute at the most, typically. Try less hard, I guess? Maybe it just means the HD version is the one for me instead of the full remake.

Other than that though, it did look pretty neat. I liked the burn detail/animation when the mutants were shot.

Demo was pretty good. Very early days though so no point saying much yet.

Holy shit, this completely flew past me.. not only is there a remake of the original, there is an actual SS3 being developed by OtherSide Entertainment, comprised of ex employees from Looking Glass and Irrational Games. LET THE HYPE BEGIN!!!

I'm a bit worried for the art quality on this though. This Shodan piece looks like a fan-art. :/
