I've the feeling to write something about this now. A friend of mine who is studying this semester in Paris, has a close friend who got shot at in the night of the attacks on Paris (he's alive). He (my friend) was luckily not in town at the time of the incident, but would probably have been in the area of the attacks in the night, if he wouldn't have had something to do in germany at the time. His girlfriend was watching a lot of the uncensored stuff of the attacks afterwards and told me, that people got shot in the head, after moving when they got kicked in the belly five+ times, to check if they are dead already or not, in the Bataclan club. That was a fucking execution. This shit was horrible this night. They even fired in single shot mode to not waste ammunition to kill people. In the Erasmus WhatsApp group, people wrote immediately, that people should go home ASAP because of shots in certain areas in Paris.

I can't even describe which feelings i had the day afterwards. At first, right when the attacks happened, my brother told me, that shots got fired in Paris and i thought, that "just" a gang is doing some shit in France. But when i saw the news on the next day, i suddenly realized what the fuck happened there. At Saturday, 1.5 days after the attacks, i was going to France and couldn't stop thinking about it for the entire 12h drive. I'm pretty much speechless when i want to say something about that. I want to hate, i want to rage, but for what?! I don't even know what to write right now. I'm so sorry for the whole islamic population because they receive all the hate right now, but this fucking IS has to be bombed away, before they cause the 3rd World War.

And again i'm speechless. Hate for hate is not really a solution, but no other emotion is available for me, after seeing these horrible attacks by the IS. I just can hope, that future attacks are going to be prevented soon enough.

Probably a whole nonsense post, but i had to get this get off my mind.

Another month, another terror attack in the west. I don't like the fact that people are almost getting used to these- sure it's at the top of the news but I'm seeing less public clamor and outcry with each attack.

Thoughts go out to any Belgians that read or post here- it must suck no longer feeling safe in your home country.

People will deny this at any cost. I hope that this tragic situation will open eyes for some people. I feel sorry for all ppl who can't feel save in their homeland. I would like to point out how many attacks were prevented in last 4 months. This is sad.

Belgium has always been a place where a lot of dormant terrorists were, so they weren't safe already, but indeed that sucks...

Unfortunately there must be attacks everywhere in the Europe for the politician to do something or to let their place to others who want to do something.

I hope we are all going to work it out and stop these attacks !

    Thought out to Belgium...

I haven't heard from some Eurogamer Benelux staff who I speak with everyday. They live in the area. I'm starting to get a bit worried.

We should give them PC'S and Steam accounts !

Look at Europe, one of the place where we play the most, and yet one of the most peaceful.

(Yeah we do stupid wars but that's because of old people who don't play ! )

On a more serious note, I think the cathartic power of games can be real, and that little stuffs like that could maybe nudge everyone in the right direction! Certainly better than bombing innocent people in Syria in retaliation for attacks.

You don't get to blame human stupidity here, horrible attacks by horrible people. My condolences to the people who lost their family or friends.

With the amount of insane surveillance all over the world you would think they could have the power to stop these, but it's clear that increased surveillance doesn't do jack shit and that's not where the problem lies. So fucked up.

Fuck surveillance. The bodies are still warm yet and politicians scream for more surveillance once again. How convenient these attacks are for them because that's what they always wanted isn't it? I compared this yesterday with having rotten teeth and instead of getting root canals the dentist gives you x-rays every day.

You can do things that give you the illusion of safety and security, but there's really no such thing.

Couldn't believe what I was seeing yesterday, Daesh need to be cluster bombed to pieces fast...

I read that there's a problem with the Belgian intelligence services sharing information with the police to the point where M15 often tells the Belgians about potential terrorist attacks. What's up with that?

It's been mentioned, the refugee situation does not help matters and I have no solution to the problem but letting everyone in and taking our "fair share" is so utterly flawed since we have no final numbers and people will keep coming and coming no matter what bit of paper Europe signs with Turkey. The security situation is alarming too.. surely when it's known that the attackers came back from Syria through the floods of people coming in and were never flagged once, that should start to raise some alarm bells, who else has got through that shouldn't have? I've got no time for the "we're all human" crowd, safety of our citizens above all, then we can talk about the rest...

It's time to wake up my European brothers, take back your homes before these people take them from you.

Yeah 8 attacks from Irish Republicanists is enough!

Our home is our home, we have to go on our lives and be the bigger men. We have a lot to do to have a model society, and since then Daesh will still find people to attack us like that.

If we create a better world, their number will grow fewer and the organization will come to an end.

It won't be done by being aggressive.

This isn't a muslim problem. People are fighting for wind b/c religions which are merely sectes preach for gods/god. THERE ISN'T SUCH A THING! No god no spirituality learn on your brain : http://www.amazon.com/Bright-Air-Bri…r/dp/0465007643

There isn't paradise, if you die then your mind vanish forever and you'll never ever notice you actually existed. Science can't explain why we here so do those poems which changed multiple time through the centuries.

I'm feed up ignorant people to affect my life just because they believe in something they never questioned to be true.
