Unfortunately I don't feel like entering these grind mechanics. Also don't want to spend on casino-packs to improve my gaming avatar/arsenal.

Honestly you don't have to spend any money at all. The daily missions give you more than enough credits to buy all the mercs and you can just play with default loadouts as they are normally the best.

@Vilham Any extra word on this? It would be indeed cool to allow users to host their own servers. It's a shame there's no real incentive to release an sdk. That would definitely ensure the game remains alive valve style.

Been off the project for a while, so not sure about the future or options like that. Honestly an SDK wouldn't work currently because of the way the game organises and recognises its assets. Would need a rework for that. Also DB map setup is very complex and has lots of tribal knowledge around how certain things work.

Was a shame to hear DB was going this way but hopefully they do allow players to host their own server at least. If not it'll just be lost to history which is sad for any game.

Enjoyed DB a lot during my shortish (40+ hours) play time. Just stopped playing since all my friends were playing other games.

Was fan of the game for a short time. It was not the best looking game but at least the yellow tech tone game the environment some style. Gameplay was top but unfortunatly I think what killed a bit the game for me is the low amount of maps and how they looks a bit the same visually. Looks like it was a good game for an sdk.

I didn't mind the graphics, nor I do I mind them now, but when I played it there were indeed few maps. I always thought the style and fairly accessible visuals would make for a great mapping opportunity. It would have been cool to involve the community more with an SDK and workshop.

I'm quite surprised that they will allow for the game servers to run for another year and not just straight up pulling the plug.

Great game, had some of the most fun characters (Phoenix, Skyhammer most notably) to play as. Will most likely give it another go soon.

I just might give it a try, really like art style, don’t like cards and micro-transactions.

Pity tools can’t be unleashed on the community, I’m sure they’d figure out something

Splash Damage dropping goods in this second-life of the game!

There’s art book, soundtrack and even the game design document!

That’s gonna be an interesting read to learn something.
