Been playing for a while, I specialise in use of Proxxy at the moment, still waiting for Phoenix to come home.

Still, I need people to play this game with, getting lonely playing solo.

Been playing this a lot lately, shitting on people with Bushwacker.

In case someone has no bloody idea what this is about I'll try to explain: Dirty Bomb is Splash Damage again using the formula from their previous games (Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, Brink, etc) but this time with mercenaries that each have unique abilities. Currently the game has 14 released Mercenaries, but there is at least 6 more coming. These mercs are also divided into 5 different categories: Assault (heavy hitters), Fire Support (drop ammo and call in airstrikes etc), Engineer (deployables and repair/defuse/arm MUCH faster), Medic (heals and revives teammates), and Recon (uuuuuuh).

Two of the mercenaries are always available to pick from, that being Aura and Skyhammer. The rest you have to either purchase with ingame credits, or real dosh. Or you can just wait until the merc you want to play becomes available through the biweekly free rotation (identified by the clock icon below their portrait in Barracks). There is also a loadout system for weapons and perks, so read this for that info: http://stealth-nerf.com/dirty-bomb-the…stem-explained/

The game also futures walljumping and longjumps, but since it's a long chapter by itself, check these links: http://pastebin.com/nXHLcehV

And if you plan to try this, or already playing it, you should visit these:

Free Fragger mercenary code here (if they are out of codes, check back later): http://www.pcgamer.com/watch-the-full…free-mercenary/

    Free Alienware-themed loadout-cases for Aura and Skyhammer : https://na.alienwarearena.com/giveaways/dirt…se-key-giveaway

Sounds really interesting actually, I was vaguely aware they were doing another team-based game but had forgotten all about it. Shame it's not out on any consoles though, I don't really bother with PC gaming now. There are so not enough team multiplayer games on the PS4, even if I am enjoying PlanetSide 2.

Bastion's probably on an NSA watchlist after that thread title... :P

I was liking the idea and the art when it was in development, feels like it's been there forever, and I dunno, what I saw more recently didn't interest me.

Then I saw this and lost any vague interest

Spoiler alert: in one hour of game he spent as much money as a retail game, getting nowhere. Can't stand these mechanics.

I have 20 hours into this game and I have not put any money towards this game as of yet, not needed to, Aura and Skyhammer suit my needs well and the free merc rotation provides me with more than enough variety to keep playing. The maps are large and fun with the classical side objectives in a Splash damage game.

Personally I don't enjoy Joe, he gets pissed off about everything regardless (hence the name ha ha ha.) Its free so you can try it risk free, and of course other people reviewed it like TotalBiscuit.

I was curious to go and check for Totalbiscuit, anyway, thing is he paid so much to get basically nothing, same cards over and over… at least in World Of Tanks when you spend you get a tank. That's what I mean. Every free game you can play hours and hours, that's the whole point: treadmill and repeat.

Time to revive a near dead thread for a little bit to say that ranked season two has started.

Managed to pull myself out of the first season with a gold rank under my belt and currently done about half of the placement matches for the current season.

Ranked is stopwatch mode with teams of five, friendly fire and team collision. It's been quite the blast to play so far.

I also need people to play with, they've adjusted matchmaking to prevent solo players from getting put against pre-made teams, and I'd like to do some pre-made team matches at some stage.

This game is still a thing? How's the active player base nowadays?

It's pretty good. I don't struggle to find matches, regardless of gamemode and time of day.

Finally have some content out since I left CIG, working off another designers initial work I remade the first objective of one of the old maps to fix one of the worst full holds in the game.

I wish I had more friends playing this game because I really love it. It's that kind of game I'm able to master even without playing for a year where R6S and OW punish your for not training enough

But seriously release a map editor !!!

I play that game a lot. Too bad my friends would rather play Overwatch or CS:GO than this :(

New merc is quite fun to play.

It's a fun game I just don't have enough time to play all these shooters :(

Just got R6: SIege with some friends so that's gonna take up a lot of time along with OW and PUBG and some other games.

    First world problems.

Played some matches on Castle today. Man, the atmosphere completely sells it. Gameplay feels tighter than on other maps, but so far I'm liking it.

Just played on this. Even though it's been a while, I still remember that bit in the map. Never really had an issue with it, but I checked out your post on the official forums and I can see why you guys remade it.

Love the looks of these environments. (I feel people could/should do this kind of visual stuff in CS)

Unfortunately I don't feel like entering these grind mechanics. Also don't want to spend on casino-packs to improve my gaming avatar/arsenal.
