Looks excellent, hope they make full use of the varied environments Star Wars has to offer though, and big maps please.

Looks awesome and I'm glad its looks similar to Battlefield, because BF is damn good and this will stand on its own. Can't wait for this!

Meh, i don't know what to think, sure it's sexy and well scripted... But i would like to see what the game look like when it's not scripted and filled with dumb players (the main reason why i hate Battlefrield games is they look like a dirty mess where everyone is basically rambo). Also the preview was 40v40 ? or 40+IA vs 40+IA ? Still really sad that they cut down the third of the original games...

I hadn't seen the second one yet. so pretty... and the sounds.... people around me are going to hear me playing this game though my headphones.

My only real critique is that they make some headbob is mandatory. The player perspective looked like they were floating around the whole time. but hey (prealpha), there's hope I think it looks stellar.

I've played the battle for Hoth too many times in "Shadows Of The Empire" to get genuinely excited about this one, but it sure looks pretty.

I think this is getting too much...

They are hyping it way too much and it's just turning into star wars porn in the hope no-one will notice the same recycled gameplay underneath.

On top of that - "pre-order and get bonus content early" - fuck off, how is that even a real incentive? If I throw my money at you now for a game I know nothing about I could be stuck with a shit game, but people who buy later if the game turns out to be good will still get the exact same content? Is that even worth the risk?

I get what you're saying jackophant, but in all honesty I don't think DICE is even doing that much. Like with Battlefield, the footage really does speak for itself and people are unsurprisingly spreading it like wildfire. Every thing that I've thought to myself about this game — hopes that you get to pilot the signature vehicles, that you can play as a lightsabre-orientated class, etc — are all being fulfilled.

It's clear that DICE is resting heavily upon its own laurels by incorporating a lot of Battlefield-esque gameplay into it, but in this case I think that is exactly what the majority of people want. After all, Battlefield is an extremely mature and fun series, and its brief foray into more futuristic theming with Battlefield 2142 and the Battlefield 4 DLC was great but needed to be taken much further. Star Wars and Battlefield are just a match made in heaven.

They probably should have just called it Star Wars Battlefield though. :cool:

I'm interested but Origin, convoluted DLC schemes and a track record of buggy and unstable releases makes me think differently.

I wanted to post 10 minutes of leaked alpha footage but it has been pulled. After seeing it though, I can only say:"This is not the game I'm looking for".
