I always forget I own a PS4... Thought I would miss this. I might check it out!

I'll probably pick it up over spring break, looks real fun. Reminds me of Alien Swarm, but on crack.

I'm always unsure about buying indie titles on the PS4 because eventually I'll get them for free with PS Plus anyway

When I get a PS4 I'll give it a purchase.

Been playing this for a bit and it's a lot of fun. The basic combat loop just screams "fun!". It won't be a long-lasting game, but it's gonna be a fun ride. Coop is an absolute requirement!

After playing for a while now I can safely say: if you have more than 1 controller attached to your PS4, this game is a must. I'm gonna try to get a 4man coop night together in the near future, which I can only assume will be amazing. The game is very simple and relatively easy to pick up, but there's a lot of things to master and a lot of situational weapons and stratagems to play around with.

The only downside is the map variety. Most games feel kind of similar structurally, it would've been nice if they did some more radical shifts in how the missions play.

Played it a bit with a friend online a week or so back, was pretty good hectic fun, really like the sounds and feel of the shooting. I can only imagine the sheer madness that would ensue in a 4 player game tho

I remember being generally interested… is it worth only in co-op?

Not much fun playing solo, no. But playing with pubs is fun so you don't necessarily need your buddies to pick it up too.

Played it for 30 minutes. I like the whole Starship Troopers vibe. Do I understand correct that the Galactic Campaign is something everybody contributes to? In short, there's no real SP component (story wise) that uses more of that Starship Troopers satire? In other words, it's a never ending battle?

Yes, the galactic campaign is something everyone contributes to, across all platforms. When a war ends (all enemies are defeated), it will restart, though story-wise it's a new war within the same universe. The lore is that "all large empires" need a "common threat" to remain "unified", so it is implied that Super Earth allows the other factions to rebuild only to subdue them again. Kinda.

My concern is more an unreliable network I have here… one of the reasons I haven't participated in CS testing in a long time. Tried that recently and wasn't too bad, might have time to try again during holidays and see how it goes. They have done some maintenance, but for normal browsing and movie watching seems it's always the same

Same here. I'm constantly getting kicked because I still suck so there's no one to play with and solo play is boring.
