    Hello there 'peeps!

So to stay alive I recently picked up a evening job at a telephone operator as a salesman and thus I have (as all telephone salesmen do) a lot of idle time where people are not answering - and it is on this time I've started reading a lot of articles.

Your favorite article(s) of all time, no matter if it's gonzo journalism, science, occultism, game development, politics, first world problems, wars - whatever!

I just want more high-quality reading.

    That said, BOMBARD ME!

    Thanks!

Edit: I'll make sure to list all of them in this post too.

I can generally suggest BBC articles, they stand for quality (imo).

But on a more game related look, have fun with this.

Hmm, is reddit really SFW enough? At home there's always some obnoxious stuff coming up, not often but often enough.

I've come across very few design articles that actually have any applicable wisdom to offer.

This is one of those rare articles which actually opened my eyes quite a bit and it helped me design a clever system in one of our latest PAYDAY 2 levels. The article is about interesting decisions.

One essay of Bertrand Russell I really like, On Youthful Cynicism: http://vserver1.cscs.lsa.umich.edu/~crshalizi/Rus…l_cynicism.html

You may feel like it is outdated and that it will only serve to understand the in between WWs period, but it goes beyond that. If you're into power lectures this one is quite interesting nowadays and can open your eyes.

And here a video suited for everybody, funny and interesting about the relations of patronage when helping third world countries: http://www.ted.com/talks/ernesto_…t_up_and_listen Helping others is worth and admirable, but sometimes it is done plainly wrong, this video shows the receivers point of view in those cases.
