Just posting here because we already know that, after the axing of all other Marvel shows on Netflix, Punisher and Jessica Jones will also be cancelled after they air later this year. Punisher wasn't ground breaking but interesting nonetheless, and I would have been happy if they kept this and Daredevil alive.

Anyway Punisher is returning this Friday (and it's probably the fastest show of these to come back! Suggesting audience really liked and wanted more of it)

jigsaw's injuries are pretty pathetic. I was expecting him to be thoroughly fucked up but he just looks like he's had a bad time shaving.

Spoiler Probably because the whole doctor-relationship thing wouldn't work otherwise? Or just skimping on makeup?

Finally watched Endgame: imo really good, way better than Infinity War… just too much CGI, so too much stuff looks fake where it doesn’t need to be. Like mostly all Thanos-related (like putting the helmet on the sword or the stew pot on the fire, felt like I was watching Shrek). The Hulk was also more cartoony than older iterations.

it looks like Sony will bet on crossing Spider-Man and Venom, which is something fans want, but Peter Parker will be completely absent from any future Avengers movie... and they won't be even able to mention his name.

Sony made a BUNCH of money with the game, spiderverse and far from home. So, they're realising that spiderman is huge again, so it kinda makes sense they wanna hold on to that property.

I for one, am kinda happy to see other players in the "hero movie" field tho, I hate to see Marvel dominating it so much, which means they'll just stay formulaic with their movies, which is bad.

Well yeah, they made money and they can’t/won’t give credit.

They are milking a cow that is alive and kicking because Marvel/Disney lent producers to supervise the properties and give them a new life, Kevin Feige in particular, and they are not even credited. It was worth to give the fans what they wanted, it’s admirable and I’m really surprised they made the arrangement in the first place. Now they are trying to cash back some… and I mean not for free, Disney wants to co-produce by putting money in the Sony movies.

Also it’s arguable that Spider-Man is doing so well because of the crossovers in Avengers movies: people expect spidy movies to move forward the overall narrative.

I do agree on the principle of competition, but that can/should be done with their own IPs. Find other comics that haven’t been given justice if you are so confident.

It’s convenient to ride the wave when someone paddles you out to sea. Btw it sounds like Marvel has the videogame rights so Sony is not getting the whole cake.

Anyway after such a shitstorm there have already been rumours of “its still negotiable”, so we’ll see. Marvel clearly was prepared to the possibility since Phase 4 doesn’t have crossover titles but mostly new characters.

Also it was confirmed that Spider-Man “3” will introduce the multiverse in the most classic depiction, with both McGuire and Garfield’s versions of Spider-Man appearing, along with some baddies like Electro and best of all, Molina’s Doc Oc.

We were scrounging Didney+ from friends that are just cancelling it now, so can watch a couple of episodes only ?

Just started re-watching the films again in more or less chronological order, it's weird watching the first Captain America then Captain Marvel and then Iron Man, over a decade of time difference...

Wow, I’m negatively impressed by how a show that is only 6 episodes long does nothing to establish the villains and their motives in the first two episodes.

The only thing that is said is that the “baddies” want “a world United without borders”… since when that’s a bad thing!? ??
