Seriously, what was on his mind? Did he think it would go unnoticed?
Gaming company employee threatens to kill Gabe, gets game pulled off Steam.

Bout time. Death threats are assault and should be taken seriously, investigated and prosecuted. However, economic retaliation may be just as good in this case.

-
Not really that much to discuss on this topic is there? Death threat, consequences.
Most people would know that stuff like this would happen. In the case they didn't before, they do now.
Moving on.

Dumb guy is dumb. Whines a lot and generally looks like a dick. No loss for us.
-
Threatening to kill people has always been a good business tactic, hasnt it?
-
Well, another employee of the company tweeted this https://twitter.com/Vallisca3x3x3/status/524591281725800449 so i kinda feel sorry for him.
-
I guess he was... letting off some steam.
I've never heard of these people before, but it doesn't take many clicks to find it's not an isolated incident.

I bet this is gonna grant a boost in sales on the other channels tho.
Dumb move, but take also in consideration how stressful it is to develop an indie game, small team, and being pushed around. I mean most of you guys work on sure-to-come-out stuff. Steam is notorious as well for this sort of fuck ups, and frankly can't understand how they happen in the first place, so many.
I remember reading of them when they had the green light mixup.
-
Well, I understand he could get mad because delays or the pic chosen... but cm'on, that's not something you'd discuss publicly on twitter, and even less make rage threats like a teenager.

Yeah, but if you got power. If you've made not even a single sale it is plain stupid, you just lost your place in the best videogame selling platform.

It seems like they are just a pair of plonkers

At the time I read the news, he said he had sold 12 copies without steam, I guess its not really helping.
He was really stupid anyways, you can rage as much as you want as long as you dont make it public.

*making mental note for getting SDK items published*

I wasn't endorsing the threats, I just understand the rage. Afterall they contacted valve. And valve has been making too many of these fuckups.

Think he was being sarcastic.

Yes I know, but as the whole issue is about stupideness (unmannered rage), reputation (lost with public statements) and power (dropping the game from the workshop), I tried to elevate the discussion in an innocent way as I know fmpone has a law background...
I'm a serious guy. Threats are serious. Seriousness please.

Never cease to amaze me what people get into via Twitter. Digging their own graves, sliding down slippery slope after slippery slope, ugly arguments with strangers and friends. And then the spread of half truths, lies, hyperbole and propaganda. It's like a never ending stream of piss and shit.

Or you could just promote your products, interact with your fans, and share cool content. Twitter is pretty awesome to be honest, it's a great tool (as long as you don't threaten to kill famous people)
-
Well Steppen, I'm not surprised as in this day and age kids are like this. Not that it's ok, but it's not something out of the blue.
Get this, I didn't posted in the ridiculous news articles because I find it disturbing, offensive, is an Italian matter and there are no news to actually link, but: the Italian Vice President of the Senate is actively flaming on twitter with kids! More so, he insulted a rapper (that recently has been opposing some politics) and a fatty fan of his. That's wrong on a whole other level to me!
