Quote from FMPONEI've posted the Santorini greybox to the workshop (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/fi…s/?id=396996750), if people would like to run around it in a convenient way. Then you can give feedback in this new Steam group
Watching the stream Val posted, Mirage2/Havoc looking sick tbh, I agree with Anger the streamer.
FMPone, would it be possible for you to upload the greybox of Mirage2?
I did some tutorial stuff here, if you're someone who follows my work but doesn't know how to use the editor yet.
Stream was enjoyable! Best part was without a doubt where you explained aligning textures ![]()

"Workshop mappers hate him, because of one simple tip" That got me lol. I enjoyed the tutorial, I didn't know about the alt-right click trick so i learnt something. Looking forward to the next ones.
*EDIT*
It would be cool to see some sort of timelapse of you working on any map. I am interested in the process you take for architecture and detail.
I just released the greybox of Mirage2, for testing purposes ![]()
Will be hosting this in Aus if anyone wants to jump on and have a play:
27.50.70.207:27045
It's also hosting Santorini
A bunch of announcements >: D
Thanks to the Reddit mods hosting testing Santorini and Mirage2 on their servers and organizing, over 53 games were played on Mirage2 last night alone. That's a lot of data to parse
I highly recommend using their services if you're trying to test out a new map.
As for Santorini, the map's layout has been finalized by testing and is also completely sculpted and ready for textures!

I've also decided on a theme for Mirage2 (now DE_VICE): Miami Vice! It'll be cool to make a map in my home state.

Make sure you play lots of Hotline Miami for theme ![]()
That's great to hear!
Theme reminds me of CS:CZ cs_miami and de_vegas ![]()
Needs to play more GTA Vice City ![]()
I was really hoping for a snowy competitive map... ![]()
Will you update the grey box with santorini' new version too?
Quote from InfinitySlayerXWill you update the grey box with santorini' new version too?
The final art version will get a new workshop upload, but incremental greybox improvements will continue to be posted to the current workshop page.
The heatmaps data from Vice has been uploaded, it's a ton of data so it has been broken into 3 parts. You can find that here:
Amazing data, not sure what to take from it but I'm amazed that they can be generated in general lol
DE_SANTORINI has been updated on the workshop. I need your feedback on the layout design!

Please leave your thoughts here so they can be tracked down later:

Special thanks to community member Rfactor for his high-level player feedback on this build.
Meanwhile, the art is progressing. You can check out some of the geometry which will form the base of the art on the workshop.

The Layout changed a lot since the last Version I saw a while back. Are you sure the Map isnt too T-sided now? I mean, Ts can rotate all over the place - which makes it hard for CTs. The Door leading behind the Snipernest in middle could block off any CT-Rotates now and its easy to get there if the sniper is smoked or dead ![]()
Other than that - Awesome update, cant wait to see this sexy thing textured
I'm really looking forward to this map!
There is just one thing, and it's the use of plants. I hope you're not going to use the plants shown in the screenshots. From what I can see on your map, the setting would be in the "city". There would be no natural plants growing from the ground or the roofs, as they are bricks and cement all over the place with no cracks in them. Also, the trees in your map are too thick/cactusy, the trees that are in Santorini are very thin and not so high. And the plants under the window would also be wrong. The plants that are in Santorini there are colorful plants in pots.
I know this might be a weird thing to pick on, but if you really want to make the Santorini atmosphere right, you should look into it.
I was there last summer, and that is what I remember, anyone correct me if I'm wrong.
Also I got some photos of the view from 2 different cities if you're interested. The first two are from Oia (first picture you see the "capital", second you see the island Therasia(not the center volcano island)). The two last is from right outside the capital(3rd picture you see the volcano island, 4th you see Oia at the left). Not the best pictures but hope it helps depending on where on the island you plan this map to take place.
God damn de_santorini is already looking amazing ![]()
