Man Stalker still looks good even today which just serves to remind me of how blown away I was when it was released back then.

Yeah, this game made quite the impression on me. Really loved it even though it was a bit rough around the edges. I also liked the sequel a lot. Which reminds me, I still have to play Call of Pripyat to conclude the trilogy.

The Stalker series has a very active modding community. I normally don't play with mods because I want the original experience to remain authentic, however, does anyone have mod suggestions for Call of Pripyat? Preferably mods that don't stray to far from the original?

Yeah I'm biased but still on my top 10 all time favorite PC games...maybe top 5.

Some of the early builds and vids I saw in 2003 were stunning...just incredible tech for the time. I guess I have to try this one...kudos for the labor of love.

What's so different from the alpha and the actual release? I never played this game :$

I remember the amazing tech for the time, that there were like flying bots to assist the player… but I can't figure the rest.

Is the aiming/handling fixed? It always seemed to me that gun handling was poor, as feeling.
