Big thanks to everyone that playtested and to RZL for setting all this up! It has been super helpful.

    @RZL

Any chance de_link_v03 feedback is still available ? I totally forgot to download it and seems it's not anymore there.

    Thank you!

Sure, we can do that, but please use our submission form that you can find in the first post of this thread.

One item to maybe add to the submission form: "Map has sufficient player clipping to avoid out of bounds traversal" (maybe rephrase it) I definitely had to learn that the hard way for this play test :)

Quick question: where are the feedback files of the maps tested yesterday? (amalia and sanchez).I cannot find anything here.

The files should be up now. There are no recordings since they are broken unfortunately.

Hmm.. I just downloaded de_farm2 latest playtest results and noticed that poll results are bit odd:

    • Option 1 = Neutral, selected 9/11 times (81.81%)
    • Option 2 = Like, selected 2/11 times (18.18%)
    • Option 3 = Dislike, selected 2/11 times (18.18%)

So correct me if I'm wrong but 9+2+2 is 13. Why does it show total votes 11 if there was 13 votes?

I'm just wondering if my map got any likes or dislikes..

Today marks my three year anniversary of hosting playtests for MapCore. I think this is a good time for me to go into retirement and hand the organization over to a suitable successor.

And the successor is @Terri (with @rosk as his assistant)! He'll be in charge of everything from now on so if you got any questions or requests feel free to contact him.

    Cheers!

Thank you for all the effort and especially time you put into the Playtesting Service and the Mapcore Community! Incredible valuable for the whole custom map scene. Terri's got to beat the 3 year mark now (and rosk obviously, too :P )

Couldn't agree more, @'RZL's work here has been exceptional :)

Me and @rosk are hopeful to continue the quality of the service through the time we are working with it, and maybe bring some fresh new things to the table too!

3 years will be hard to beat :D

I would like to thank you for your diligent work hosting the server. You have been very generous and patient and I am certain a lot of Mapcore mappers are very thankful for your service. I know I am!

I wish pitrd's golden pearl of splendor was still a thing (OG mapcorians will know what I mean), but in lieu of that I think you deserve a shiny CS:GO service medal! :D

Furthermore, I would like to welcome Terri & Rosk to the position! Thank you for helping the community out! Let me know if you need anything related to the server now that RZL is retired and I'll sort it out for you. :)

Over the last four years the accumulated bill for the CS:GO & TS server is around a thousand buckaroos and while I don't mind footing it, if you want to pitch it you may do so here: http://clients.fragnet.net/grouppay.php?h…-5d6e7-5bf75-51

    Glory to Hurg!

If I am still in graybox stage and one part of my map is on a hill and I want my map to be accepted for mapcore playtesting, should I make it simple from normal brushes or do I have to use displacements (even though I will later on try to do them with 3d modelling program)?

It won't matter how the hill is made, just as long as it is smooth to play around and doesn't look too messy visually all should be fine.

Guys, just wanted to say that the server still seems to be running an old version of the game. At least that's what my PC tells me as for why I can't connect.
