Should I be worried that I have everything excepting the demo file?

Must've forgotten about it, I'll upload it later this evening.

Well, crap. My radars don't work for some reason. That's literally the one thing I'm missing. Damnit.

EDIT: They should be woring now, I figured out my problem.

Hey guys I dont have a map in the comp but I am just about to update my workshop map . The server it gets played on doesn't use workshop but instead i upload bsp which then creates issues for clients.

I made a few changes from the beta from some feedback but would value the feedback here immensely.

Make a WIP thread in the 3d section with a workshop link, screenshots/overview etc and you can get feedback before a full playtest :)

    Hi everyone,

I've submitted my map, de_docks, for playtesting tomorrow. Just wanted to confirm what time it would be happening, and whether there was anything I needed to do in preparation for it? Look forward to seeing you there!

it's 8pm gmt. I bring a notepad and pen when I'm playtesting so I can note feedback and rough ideas of changes. @'RZL uploads a feedback txt file of submitted feedback during the playtest but not everyone submits to this. Some give feedback via voice chat etc and you might notice stuff yourself. It's also better to join the TS server as people use this as well as ingame.

Not sure why it's hyperlinked all that but I'm too tired to try to fix it :P

Ok, thanks for the info. I'll make sure to keep a notepad to hand to write things down. I'm not too familiar with TS, is there an IP address or something that I'll need to connect to the server?

I have a final update with optimization(nodraws), a fixed radar and proper formatting tonight, but otherwise would this map be at a far enough state to test it out?

Read the submission form on the first page of this thread, it has everything listed that you need. If you can tick all the boxes then you can get your map test.

It still needs to be checked off for things like huge timed kill triggers or something equally jarring, so leave those out yeah? ;)

I don't understand what you are asking, it has one of those, are the settings wrong?

It's way too dark and you rely too much on pointlights. Raise both of the light values and recompile. Visibility in such dark maps isn't really good. Imagine a poor guy playing the map on a cheap LCD. He couldn't see shit.

Thanks, this is the sort of feedback I like to get! I don't notice any issues with visibility when I've been testing it, but I have a pretty nice screen and wasn't thinking about how it could turn out on cheaper/darker screens.

Hi, I was wondering if you can change the date of my playtest map De_Scrapheap the day 24/09 to 27/09, because today will not be able to be present to participate in the passing and so have time to fix minor errors it has.
