If anybody would like to swap, would it be possible to have a spot for next Sunday (I think its the 5th).

I just found out that I'll be away and miss the playtest. Sorry for the inconvenience and I can understand if nobody wants to swap/it's too late.

(https://www.dropbox.com/s/86gv9ol8hwp6…ect_a1.bsp?dl=0 if it cannot be switched)

It seems that no one yet took a spot on the 5th

So i guess you don't have to swap, but probably just scratch the one for tonight out and ask RZL to put you on the list for next week.

I asked this before but I don't think anyone replied. Just qoute me in the answer. DO you have to be there for the playtesting? or can people just play your map and send feedback to the map thread.

You can, but it's much better to be there. We tend to be a lot more critical when the author's not there, so be ready for that. Make sure you at least have the basics down (radar, clipping, decent lighting, etc).

It's a bit like talking about people behind their backs. Although it's all recorded and can be played back to them.

I think it's mainly down to the author not being there to say 'ok I understand, I'll do this....' so the same piece of feedback is repeated a couple million times in a downward spiral of negativity

Muffin make sure you use Andre's method of packing the BSP I posted a couple of pages back. Packrat can be annoying as hell and as long as you're not using custom stuff the workshop method is really simple.

For maps with no custom content (thanks to Andre for the method)

    > Make full version of playtest map 9with 10 working spawns per side, buyzones and bombsites (preferably labelled)

    > compile/run in sdk.

    > generate nav mesh, build cubemaps and update radar

    >upload to workshop (set to private if you don't want anyone to see)

    > download the map from workshop. It'll have everything (radar, nav, kv etc) packed into the bsp.

    > grab this this bsp from the maps/workshop folder. it'll be the last one on the list if you've just uploaded(highest number)

    > copy this elsewhere and upload to here via dropbox or whatever

Happy playtest. No cancelling or making RZL despair

For custom content you'll need to use pakrat or an alternative (you can still use this method for packing the radar etc though)

Can I get a slot on the 9th for DE_Solution? I have next week off work with nothing planned so will probably be doing some agile programming mapping

    Download link for Thursday:

    DE_STUPA_V10-MAPCORE

The KV file didn't seem to want to work via workshop upload so I've left it unpacked for now.

I could also really use some feedback if anyone has any.
