    Hey guys

This is an open invitation of all artists making models and textures for Source levels, to pile our content together into one big collection for our fellow artists, an Open-Sourcing of all Source related content for free use.

Any takers? I'll be happy to organize everything into one place, or maybe Thrik and the crew can help there also?

    W00t, in Hurg we trust.

I like this idea, I'll probably be doing some custom content soon.. if I ever get to that stage(still fighting with my map layout)

and I'll gladly share any custom content I make.

Why do I imagine that we'll get hundreds of PSDs with hidden dick layers?

    Good initiative

Should prove helpful to designers who do not have the time/knowledge to create their own custom content for Source engine.

could be engine agnostic and people can also post requests? would be a sweet system anyway.

engine agnostic might be kind of complicating things imo. keeping it source specific might be simpoler. but i dunno what do other people think?

I'd rather keep it source only, and only provide models and uncompressed textures on request in proper format(fbx, obj etc)

i would contribute some of mine, but i don't think it would be up to par with what you guys do.

Yup, this would be a good compromise.

Doesn't matter, it's probably still way better than us noobs screwing around in 3DSMax or whatever

We have the best of several disciplines here. You have artists who might want to see their stuff in maps and you have mappers in need of art. Why not bring the two together? We'll collect everything people contribute and offer a platform for people to meet. Kinda like what E-Freak said but bigger.

    Good initiative. I like it!

    Sounds awesome!

How would it be handled? One large file? Some sort of searchable database? I'd be willing to help out if that's at all needed.

Not sure, what would people prefer? Seems like a .rar for each author would be best

Like the Facepunch project, Dropbox would be neat, as in that you don't need to get extra webspace to host everything and it's updated automatically. Don't like the idea of linking it directly to your csgo folder though, I'd prefer it to be like a shop: see everything available and just get what you need If there would be a folder for every contributing author, it's easy to keep track of who to give credit too, not at all unimportant in a project like this!
