Well, I'd learn UDK to do this if I had time.

This is exactly how game development should be done on the community side: excellent motivation and positive reinforcement for user generated content. This is really exciting and congratulations to your team for having the ability and foresight to do this, and best of luck on the entries. My only criticism is that May 1st is a pretty short deadline .

edit: ah, it appears new maps can be submitted after May1st until June 31st. That's interesting. Smart.

Would anybody be interested in partnering up on this one? Preferably an artist so we can have a ton of custom art. We of course would split the rewards 50/50. If anyone is interested just shoot me a pm.

At first glance I had an idea of assembling a team of 3-4 people and create the coolest map ever with huge moving siege towers and all kinds of crazy stuff but I think it might be to late to start something like that now. Would be really cool though!

Looks like a pretty solid blockout Latteh! Do you have a thread up yet on the Torn Banner forums?

Just a reminder that there is 3 months left until the final deadline, and about 1 month until the first phase prizes/critiques are given out. If you are at all interested in participating there is still plenty of time left to get working on a map, and for those who are already working, keep up the great work!

Ya i do I just got to put it on the workshop too. The detailing shouldn't take long since im not spending as much time trying to fix Kismet bugs and size's and stuffs.

Here's some progress on my level! Still very early and I haven't finished the layout quite yet.

And here's a picture of the "Ramp-cart" and the temporary-bridge made by boats. I wanted to do someting "action movie gimmick" and I'm not sure if it will be too silly or not, we'll see!

(Side-note: I had Xerxes bridge of boats as inspiration.)

    Edit:

Added the path for the bombcart to the topdown.

I wasn't able to finish my map to this deadline due to a lot of work samples and portfolio making. Hopefully I can make it to the next one!
