I like your changes, its coming along pretty well. One other suggestion though - change the name. I'm so sick of all these maps with crappy generic names.

Looking better and better, but it's starting to look rather r_speedy even for HL2 standards. How well does it run now?

It runs 100 % perfect on my comp.

    No lagg and 0 ping.

I have even tested the map with rain and it didn't lag at all.

The outside area looks finnished now. Now is only the inside area remaining to do. I have added fog to the map what makes it look realistic.

I can tell that it really feels like an early morning outside.

But right now i need to find any good sounds for the map.

    Heh, thanks for your comments.

Of course you wouldn't get a ping on your own computer - ping is the time it takes to get a reply from the host computer, and since you are the host, it will be 0 regardless of the map. To test performance in HL2 levels you use comparative FPS testing - compare the FPS you are getting in your level to the FPS you get in official levels.

okay, but it's hard to make a map what will never ever lagg.

Well, this will take many weeks to complete.

    Do you know what?

I can say that the project slowly coming closer to the end.

Right now im designing the inside area.

    Any comments about the map?

You still have got that scaled up concrete (car crash one), it looks like crap insted of a nice texture.

I noticed that too, also I personally think your windows look odd, it may be the scaling...or sumthin.

The indoors looks way to hl1'ish.. Like the support beam in pic 1 and the vent in pic 2. There seems to be enough room in theese rooms to crate some fancy detail. The outside parts is starting to look really nice, but something needs to be done with the light_env. I would like to see some sunlight actually hitting some of the factory (at the top) like it really was sunrise..

I agree that things are getting better but the map still lacks subtlety (sp? ), especially in colors you used for grass, lights and what not.

    Todays Report:

    Incomprehensible?

Bargain for a Beta very soon!

But realize, if the map is going too large, i wont make the inside area.

So eventually my aim right now is to finnish the outside area.

But let me reveal something, I have plans to make some more houses around the factory.

If you want really the beta right now you can add me to the msn or "PM" me.

Thanks for your attention. Expect more screenshots very soon.

the textures you have now... at least in my opinion... need to be changed up. they look too clean and together they make the map look cartoonish. try to look for some textures that look a little older and work them in.

Didn't play it but you made some huge improvement on the lighting, every new screen only looks better. I'll try it out later tonight.
