Actually, the aliens in Avengers never assaulted the main ship because the Avengers kept them in the new york area (away from the ship). Also, it is my understanding that
The Winter Solider basically resolves around a SHIELD civil war. I think the trailer hits at that pretty strongly as well

Looks great to me. I didn't really like Captain America, it felt like way too many things weren't fleshed out properly and I never really cared about its villain despite him being one of my favourite actors. I dunno, it really didn't do anything for me. However I've absolutely loved every single other film in the new Avengers universe so I'm hopeful that was just a blip. 
It'll be nice if we get to see a lot more of what makes SHIELD tick because it has been very enigmatic for some time now. Only Avengers shed any real light on it and that was still limited. I don't know shit about the comic lore but I was surprised to see three of the gigantic ships from Avengers in this trailer in seemingly populated areas. I guess SHIELD has become much less secretive since Avengers, lol.
This looks like an astonishingly deep and profound story about human nature, the quest for identity and our desire to serve and protect the people we love and mankind too why not. This looks fabulous, i can't wait

Wasn't the ship in the same area? Not on top of Manhattan but anyways, in reach. Anyways what I meant is that they seemed much of a bigger menace and were less dangerous for the SHIELD.

This is nothing like the original. This is a spy movie. Bourne on steroids. Far less humor, more violent (as far as PG13 goes) and a better story. It's 2,5 hours were over in seconds. Really intense. Seriously, I'm not one to praise a movie so easily. I made the comparison to The Dark Knight quality level (which is in my top 10 of best movies ever made) so you do the math.
Let's say it differently, for me and the group I went with, it's the best Marvel has made. Yes, that means we consider it better than The Avengers.
