What I look forward to is day9 playing this on Halloween hopefully. His Amnesia play-through was great.

    Spoilers:

Finished the game earlier. I knew what was gonna happen anyway, but to me it just felt so rushed and slightly anti-climactic. I really didn't like the exterior sections where you walk at a snail's pace. It doesn't build any tension whatsoever, it just gets a bit annoying. The worst candidate for this was going out to the communications array thing..

Also, the ending in the Torrens is a bit cheesy I always thought, and it's lame to end on a QTE!

The nest part was cool though, and the reactor core bit. I remember seeing that whilst at CA and being blown away by the amazing VFX. Also.. Poor Ricardo! I liked that dude.

Overall however, I'm pleasantly surprised by the final product! It feels a lot more polished now, and it's a fun game. I think CA did Alien proud.

Also! The Dead End Thrills guy has taken some shots of Alien, including the Cryo room! This guy is amazing at hacking games to take screenshots!

So glad people are eating up this game. So many people busted their balls for it.

Not me and MarkS though, we drank lot´s of coffee and wandered around being G! (I joke, I joke, we did drink a lot of coffee though...)

Spend a bit more time on it (still way to little to properly judge). I must say, even if the gameplay sucks it was already worth the 30 euros to walk around in this and just look and enjoy the scenery and sound. It can only get better from here. Money well spent

tbh I think the gameplay is very marmite, some people love it and some people hate it. I usually recommend people start off on easy difficulty and then crank it up accordingly. If your enjoying the early levels it´s worth pushing on to the later ones, there´s dome really great ones with amazing atmospheres!

we'll I must say, after hiding in lockers for about 12 hrs I've finally hit my shelf moment. I was walking around and a wall decided to just explode on me and end my playthrough.

I get they were going for the whole "constant paranoia" thing, but it really gets to be too much and prevented me from fully enjoying the game. I'll finish playing this game on youtube.

The art is what really kept me coming back, so congrats to all the art dudes that made this game super uber sexy.

I started on Hard right off the bat (I always play my games on the hardest difficulty level first) and I really really love it. Congrats to anyone involved because you can tell that game has a real soul and was made with love.

I played through the LV-426/Derelict flashback and obtained the flamethrower. That was INSANELY AWESOME HOLY SHIIIIIIIEEET! Absolute nerdgasm! The flamethrower is excellent as well! Chews ammo like hell but very very effective! I went through some vents with the Alien inside and totally felt like Dallas in the movie!

You can only scare it away The survivor mode is really just core mechanics on show, which is cool, but I always felt the main campaign really showed off A:I in the best light.

Yeah that first encounter is one of the most terrifying since you have no motion tracker and only the pistol, which is useless.
