I'm reserving judgement as I don't really know what he's like as an actor, but I don't see how he couldn't potentially pull it off if he is actually good. He does look young, but after watching the excellent BBC's Sherlock my mind has been very much changed about how unlikely actors can pull off roles (Moriarty) you'd ordinarily expect to be played by someone different.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with his hair though, he would look mildly ridiculous with his usual curly top. He really should be bald, in keeping with the comics:

I'm very happy with the casting of Jeremy Irons as Alfred, though. He's an excellent actor and now he's pretty old he does seem like he could suit the butler role perfectly — plus he's got that slightly dark touch that the butler of a borderline nutcase should have.

I think its obvious they're going for a different sort of Lex Luthor, a less obviously dangerous one. Less bravado probably. TBH I'm cautiously optimistic. It's not like there's a proud lineage of incredible Superman movies to taint, if worst comes to worst.

Wait and see but I've been disappointed with Man of Steel. Film editing was bad as hell.

    ...just saying is all.

As of now, i'm curious to see what they'll pull off. Not that we can do anything anyway

I love Eisemberg... it's just we are used to see him in comedies and light roles, it's difficult to see him as a villain. Also even if the same age of Cavill, he actually looks younger to me, while we are used to look at an older Luthor.

I've seen only the last chapter recently aired, probably not the best to "test" the show, but i found it unbearable.

Oh I don't know about the latest episodes, but IMO the first two seasons were splendid. You do need to watch it from the beginning though because jumping right in probably makes the present day setting seem particularly weird because you've not been 'eased in', lol.

I actually cherished the modern setting, I hate that they try to cater an audience 16-60, with distasteful lighthearted moment that just drag down everything. But really, the episode I've seen was immensely pretestuous… it's easy to create twists when you completely mislead the audience, is something that especially in the "yellow" genre you cannot do, not so blatantly.

I have read only one Sherlock Holmes book when I was young, with 3-4 stories in it, I can totally see the references to the original characters… but it's just presented in a way I find cheesy.

I want to see for Sherlock, to make an analogy, what has been done with the Batman Arkham games: accurate but original, dark but stylish.

For sure, but still, I liked that shot. I also watched Man of Steel. I don't understand all the hate. I'm biased since I don't like Superman and maybe that's what sets me apart, but I didn't consider it a bad movie. Not one I would want to watch again but it didn't feel like a waste of time either.

I have more issues with The Dark Knight Rises than with Man of Steel for instance.

Man of Steel is full of no sense. I had twice a headache watching this movie in theater and BR. I'm still interesting in this "Versus" sequel and JL universe because you can't make more shitty than MoS.

I'm confused because when the movie came out I heard that Man Of Steel was fine, then the hate wave arrived.

I have it to watch, gonna do it in the near future and see for myself. Like sprony I never liked Mr. I Put My Underpants On Top, so I have low expectations, and as well I didn't like TDK Rising…
