I am really liking this a lot though I only have had time to play for about 30 minutes online once I did the training levels. As for lag or server issues, I am playing on Xbone and didn't have any problems last night.

Been playing a lot of Attrition

I enjoy the game. It's a bit crazy and there is definitely a bit of wildness to it that can feel strange. I think I might enjoy it more on a console, probably. Overall it's fun. I enjoy the Titan combat a lot, there's a ton of variety there.

I think my fears about it being a COD ripoff are sort of true but sort of not true. I think it will appeal to the same audience, for sure, but the Titans really transform things enough to be new and innovative. I'm going to give some of the other game modes a shot. Fracture is a beautiful map, I don't like the Angel city one much (really awkward to play on, graphics are sort of grey/unreadable)

Thanks to Composite for grin and bearing my premature judgement

Try out hardpoint, it's absolutely nuts. Angel city feels like it was made for hardpoint, I've done some really fast runs from a to b.

    OK! will do right now

After 5 hours of Attrition, I can say that this game is a lot of fun! Fast-paced, very smooth parkour, battles feels much more crowded than 6v6, no hitreg issues (I play BF4 so I suffer), lots of "FUCK YEAH!" moments as you stomp enemies, punch enemies, and grab pilots out of their titans and toss them away like rags. I might buy this!

The auto-aim pistol can go piss on itself though.

I hope the release version will have more weapons.

also I like that because the mechs are so big sometimes you will have this shuffle match with friendly mechs trying to walk down a road.

There are more weapons but it would be nice to know HOW many more there are, as some of the Burn Cards give away that there is a bolt action sniper, LMG, and anti-titan grenade launcher, just the amped versions. Would also like to know the amount of ranks and challenges available, but I sort of hope you don't level as fast as you do in the beta, as you get to level 14 (beta limit) really fast.

Glad people are giving it a try. Its great to get feedback, good or bad.

If anyone is having problems getting a code, PM me and Ill see what I can do. It might be a slower reply because of the weekend.

It's good stuff! I'm curious, did you do any level stuff or did you work with the systems/mechanics primarily?

I have to mention that I think the "map hack" burn card is waaaay too powerful. I've always been very good at CoD-style shooting (I ironsight quickly and then simply land shot after shot in my enemy without much issue). The map hack burn card allowed me to never be surprised by enemy movement and I could always anticipate engagements with ease. This meant that the skill advantage I have against most players in public could be leveraged tremendously and I ended up doing a 30 kill streak or something (on foot). Furthermore, I think I would feel cheated if I cloaked/kept out of sight to creep up on someone and they had this ability.

I posted the message below on Facebook (while linking to the Core) just now. For all you pro dudes this is probably no big deal but for a simple gamer like me, it means a lot. Now like the shit out of this message for CompoSITe!

I decided to skip Titanfall (because of EA). Gameplay movies looked a bit dull to me as well but I kept hearing good things. So I caved and decided to give it a go anyway. But there were no more beta keys (registration closed). Luckily, because of MapCore, one of the developers gave me a key personally. Downloading now. I'm really glad to be a part of this community. First direct access to Reaper of Souls Friends and Family and now this. Awesome!

Yeah, I have to admit, Composite has been very... composed badum-tisk, throughout this entire thread. Really managed to ignore first impressions and allow people the chance to let the game stand on its own merits. Good guy dev for sure, learned a lesson from him I think it's fair to say!

Lol, after shipping 4 cod games you develop a think skin. I think it's better to listen and take in the feedback rather then defend the game. If people have fun with it then great. If not, there a bunch of other video games to choose from.

To answer earlier questions I designed Angel City.

The burn cards are interesting because they only last one life you can get away with making something a bit OP. Puddy, was that 30 pilots?

Anyway, thanks for giving the game a try.

Oh cool, I really like that map! Yes, it was around 30 pilots.

The thing about other burn cards is that they generally leave you vulnerable in some way. An amped assault rifle won't stop you from getting shot in the back or squashed by a titan. But the map hack really allowed me to avoid dangerous situations (thus keeping the ability for a long time) and let me pick off unsuspecting targets left and right.

Sure, I might have been a bit lucky and it was against random pub players but I still think it's incredibly powerful. If the ability was more like a UAV from the CoD-games (revealing enemies at x second intervals) it would be much more balanced I think. If I remember correctly it currently gives you immediate updates on everyone's position?

To be HONEST (listen to this DUX!)
i know i said fuck EA way too many times (still meaning that) after seeing some gameplay and some first thoughts about beta, I really think this game is going to be GUT, and even that I respect you Respawn guys, I really hope EA won't shit on this game just as they did with some other titles recently.

Anyways yes, TITANFALL gameplay wise looks great !

The shotgun is entirely OP. It's a really easy instant kill and the user is almost always flying around, impossible to hit.

I can't say I have any trouble tracking players but what I have had a nasty surprise with is assholes doing diving jetpack kicks. Insta kill, took me completely be surprise lol.

They have to get really close and that's not an easy task. The most lethal and versatile weapon in my book is the R101C or whatever it's called. The assault rifle anyway.

Yeah and the burn card you get for a supped up R1010101010CC0101 rifle is pretty pimp.

Every time I've gone with the Smart Pistol, Shotgun or DMR then I've sucked horribly and have gone back to the Assault Rifle or SMG. But yeah, have seen some people be pretty fucking lethal with the shotgun, cloaking and running up to you, fuckers. Also makes fairly short work of your Titan when your being rodeo'ed by a prick with a shotgun.

Also, Stim + Enhanced Parkour kit on Angel City is fucking nuts. Wall running and jumping between rooftops goes so fast that it feels like playing Quake 3 or something, it's great
