I might drive down there if it means a bunch of us can get together. But I don't think I'll be able to get in, right? I dont even know how it works, do you just get a ticket like anywhere else?

Nah, it's free admission to anyone in the games industry. You just have to register on their site and provide two of the listed forms of proof you work in the industry.

We get Wednesday and Thursday as our E3 days. Not sure which day I'll go yet, but I doubt there will be enough to see/do to warrant a second day.

Yeah. If I had to pay I wouldn't go. It's fun but definitely not worth a $1000 admission price.

Haha yeah was cool, and my back was hurting like hell after standing up straight for like 5 consecutive hours

I can't wait for the press conferences! I think this is gonna be the most interesting E3 evah. I'm curious to see what Sony and especially Microsoft have to show to convince us/ prove that they deserve our respect.

Gonna do an all nighter tomorrow, watching every presser live (MS, EA, Ubisoft and Sony). First time in years that I've been genuinely excited about E3, right now it feels pretty unlikely that it won't be a pretty spectacular show (but it'll probably still be disappointing ).
