Does this go here? I guess so!

I made a game for LD48. Theme was Minimalism.

Cool~I really like how it's dynamically changing the level rather than just loading a new one~

Nice! Watched that video to the end. So simple, but looks like a lot of fun. Good luck in the competition.

its really cool but about halfway through i started to understand why it didnt seem very challenging, you need moving platforms! other than that, you should figure out some way to make the main character stand out + make it ipad compatible, you'd make a fortune

    Thanks guys!

Yeah, moving platforms were in my initial plan, along with a finale where everything was constantly shifting rather than the path getting bored and wandering off screen. However, coding is definitely not my forte and given the restraints I thought I’d go for an easier out.

If I were to pick this project back up I would definitely include more interesting obstacles and some better sound design. Perhaps some ambient music, chords for landing, and pretentious text to transcend this bad-boy into art territory.

Porting to iOS would be interesting. Have him move relative to your initial touch and flick to have him jump (less accurate but I don’t like virtual d-pads), put doodads on the sides to manually manipulate stuff. I don’t actually have any way of doing it right now, though.

Awesome man. That's one of the best LD entries i've seen. Really polished looking too.

So... apparently this came third in the competition? I'm #1775 on coolness so I'm not really sure how this is all calculated. Either way... sweetabix.

    Cute

Interesting could be to see the concept applied to a non-minimalist game, even 3D.

Great idea, you know a game's good when it's entertaining just to watch a YouTube video of. If you revisit it you should implement conc jumping.

Haha, oh man. I am actually tempted.

I'm trying to make a "full" game out of Metritron atm, though...
