But how does it play? Is it competitive? You can submit it fine to the steam workshop for feedback before submitting it to gamebanana. Many people did already (I did). You should get it out before April 16th to get feedback on gameplay, balance, timings, sightlines, etc.

Can we see an level overview of the map?

It's gotten extensive play testing, I think it's solid.

As for the workshop, I wasn't aware! Maybe I can release it early then. I could post an overview, but it's not as informative as playing it, since the map is multi-level and highly vertical.

An overview is an overview. Post it up.

I know well enough that it will likely create confusion, because it's difficult to communicate this layout in a flat image. Nonetheless, I'll post one shortly.

edit: ok, I spent some time trying to explain the different levels

How do you take an overview screenshot? I tried to take one from Portal 2 maps but I couldn't.

Do you use any command to make the camera become ortho?

i'm not sure its a feature in portal 2, i wouldn't know. basically you go noclip over the map and do cl_leveloverview (number which would indicate the scale, how big the scale is depends on the size of your map. 1-5 is probably enough to cover most maps)

there are a bunch of other commands you can use, i would recommend googling for tutorials http://forums.csgomaps.net/showthread.php?tid=59

Looks cool. I can easily tell where the level over level is happening just by the colours.

Visually it's absolutely magnificent Very awesome work you two, you make a fine team. I dig the layout too, it looks small and frantic with lots of secondary passageways. The middle part kind of reminds me of de_sunny with the bridge and the long alley.

Excellent stuff Looking forward to the release.

A couple of things that I noticed when I first looked at the screens. Some of the cylinder bits don't have the arches and the dome structures on top. But there is no suggestion of why this is the case. No damage on the cylinders for example to suggest that they were blown off by something. As a result, I think there is a bit of an unfinished feel to them.

The other thing is the lighting, which has a pink/purple hue. I think it could look nicer if the ambient was a darker blue, and contrasted a touch more with the light environment, so that the shadows on the buildings were more pronounced.

And good luck in the competition!

Edit: In the third pic, the crate is clipping into the upper trim on the wall.

You can always update your map on the steam workshop - and it get's automatically shipped out to your subscribers when they start Steam.
