Awesome! How does the game actually feels like to play? Is it less stiff than the previous Killzone games? They're really good looking games, epic set pieces, etc, but seriously controls in this franchise are some of the worst I've ever played, extremely stiff and weird off-standard button combinations. Really hope they listened to gamer feedback and concentrated more on that as It's a really deal breaker for me.
Quote from Rick_DWhat was it supposed to do? Some great art and neat effects, but uninspired storytelling, bland cutscenes, awful combat and AI, and "epic events" that are jaw achingly dull.
I feel like video games are being let down by story and design at this point - we've spent so much time pushing the graphical fidelity that gameplay and narrative have been neglected, and it's really starting to show. More explosions doesn't mean more intense or exciting. Been watching the first season of 24 again, and the drama they manage to get across in very few locations and zero explosions puts videogames to shame.
Aka, my signature.
Since E3 was 2 months ago I honestly don't remember that much. I have to say, it did feel a little nonstandard to me but I only played the first Killzone and skipped the others. I think Killzone fans will probably really enjoy Shadowfall and FPS fans looking for something to play on PS4 probably won't be disappointed...but I didn't really play enough of the game at E3 to make a solid judgement.
I was actually more interested in what insight I could get from IR on the PS4 dev process and to see how much more time/people it takes to developer for it than PS3...since cost control for next gen is a major issue everyone making console games should be thinking about (I mean...of course everyone already is, right? Righttt???)
Still, it was beautiful to look at. It was a little slower paced I think than typical CoD SP but that's a good thing. I like a variety in the FPS games I play...but that's just me.
I still can't get over that you saw IR the elusive. ![]()

Looks epic enough, not expecting much out of the gameplay other than what it can be expected. But looks like a worthy game for PS4!
Shouldn't you guys be hating on this?
eheh, to hate is one thing, to give constructive criticism is another! I'm still getting this despite the obvious problems I have with the previous games.
Meanwhile, Killzone: Mercenary on Vita is pretty satisfying...
