    Hi,

I just completed my first level for the Nexuiz game. Its published on the steam workshop and if you own the game then you can download it from,

The idea was to using the existing assets of the game from the editor and focus on the gamplay. It is an open environment with a feel of ancient garden on a different world.

Feel free to share your feedbacks here

    Thanks

    Neat use of assets!

It's always a hard thing to do with these assets as a lot of them were made for very unique instances (not a super modular set).

i think the vegetation is showing up a bit too dark, this is probably because the sun multiplier is turned to 0.00 in the time of day settings, even turning this up to 0.001 will kick in the vegetation shaders backlighting scaling... should make it appear better. i'd also use some decals to ground things and help with some of the tiling....

you may want to play with lighting a lot more, you're missing a lot of bells and whistles the engine has to offer

Thanks Kedhrin for the feedback. Although the sun multiplier didnt work for me, i did play with the lighting and the time of the day. My friend suggested to me to make it an evening map to get the red glow. I will add some decals to the level once i figure out which of the models are decals

I am starting on another level now which will have a sci-fi theme. The blockout is ready. I just need to texture it now. I will get back to this level if i get some more ideas to enhance this level.
