In a way it looks like this is a classic 'giant monster in a city' type film, Godzilla-esque. Most of the marketing doesn't seem to be showing that side of it so much, I guess robots are more marketable. But I love that kind of stuff so some robots vs giant dinosaur shit sounds good to me.

Also it's good to see Stringer Bell appearing in more stuff, really great actor.

I really liked the Hellboy films personally, especially #2 which had some crrrrrazy shit going on. Overall I have a lot of faith in the guy.

I get your point but that is also such a huge genre jump for that director to make, no wonder it sucked.

Toro has a thing for monsters (hellboy 1+2, pan's) and I feel this movie will definitely be fun. Why is it that the internet seems to dislike large, big budget summer blockbusters?

Maybe Transformers put a lot of people off big robot films, which is kind of understandable after that series' rapidly declining quality. But there's nothing I can see to suggest this will be anything short of sweet, so to dismiss it as just a Transformers rip-off like some seem to be doing seems pretty retarded to me.

This not the movie to see for a story or plot ect, this is the one you should see in BIG screen just for random fun. CG is really good and as far as i don't like 3d this one look good. Big fucking robot and big monster (some of them look very alike the one in Cloverfield project) crushing in Hong Kong ? where you get to see this now ?

Went and saw this today. Damn that was good. Man of Steel left a shitty taste in my mouth and that got rid of it. I loved the art direction, especially the Hong Kong slums built around the monster ribcage!
