Bleszinski's Boss Key hires former Epic, Irrational, Neversoft staff. The new development studio confirms it first hires.
QuoteChris Mielke (Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Far Cry 4, The Division) will fill the role of senior producer. Chris Wells (the Gears of War trilogy, Fortnite) is the new senior character artist, while fellow former Epic Games man Joshua Parker is Boss Key's new senior gameplay programmer. Shane Smith (Grand Theft Auto V, Bioshock Infinite) is the IT director, David Rose (Guitar Hero 5 and 6, and Call of Duty: Ghosts) is the so-called 'UI Ninja', Ryan Palser (Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Ghosts) is the senior animator, James Hawkins (Gears of War Trilogy, Unreal Tournament 3) is senior concept artist, and Sarah Asby (Gears of War Trilogy, Unreal Tournament 3) is the exec assistant. "The key to building a successful company is to surround yourself with quality people, especially the ones who can do things you can't," said co-founder and CEO Cliff Bleszinski in a prepared statement. "Arjan [brussee] and I are excited to continue working with some of the people who have inspired us and helped us create great work in the past, as well as to hire fresh blood to bring new perspectives and talents to the table. We're still reading through hundreds of resumes to find the best-of-the-best to join us, and expect to have more announcements soon." Source

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz CGI reveals. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
-
They should use more WTC ruins at around the 21 second mark, cause right now it's way too obvious and I'm not even an American.
-
I'm curious about this, the tech / sci-finess is intriguing. Can't wait for gameplay.
-
I'm curious to see where they're going with the gravity manipulation.
-
zzzzzzzzzzz
-
I have a lot of respect for Cliff Bleszinski as a game designer and I'm sure that the actual gameplay in this thing will be great, but holy crap that trailer was terrible.
-
Has Cliff done anything else besides facing 2 worlds (IMO one of the worst maps ever made) and Gears of War?
-
Inoxx (Cedric Fiorentino) made Facing Worlds. Cliff made Tempest and Turbine, some of my favorite UT99 maps, so I definitely have respect for him as a level designer (granted that's a looong time ago).
Though the Gears games feel really old and stale now, then they pretty damn impressive on multiple fronts when they came out. For what it's worth then it's still the tightest cover based games, and they had a genuinely unique feel to them, with it being a very clear case of a game where gameplay was king.
Anyway, hope this turns out well, but man that trailer isn't exactly making me excited.

Should be gameplay trailer coming this week.
The franchise has kind of been diluted and ruined, but GOW1 was a masterpiece imo. I remember playing it with @Erratic back in the day and having a blast.

This suggests "GOW with gravity manipulation" or "COD with gravity manipulation", depending if they go TPS or FPS… then like Friechamp said.
@AlexM don't think you can diss the guy like that, you like it or not GoW as been one of the most influential games of last decade basically.
He's also credited for stuff on Fat Princess, bulletstorm and Lost Planet, sort of a Romero for Epic

I think you mis-interpreted my post. If you re-read it I was saying I disliked a map he didn't actually author. I wasn't trying to imply I also thought GoW was also one of the worst games in addition to facing worlds. I genuinely wasn't sure what other games he worked on.
GoW isn't a game I loved but I don't hate it either. I can respect it for what it did at the time even if it hasn't aged. Fat Princess though, THAT was a fun game.
EDIT : Romero for Epic? Now THAT'S blasphemy

I said "sort of"

In the wiki says he's made/making a map for SuperHOT as well
-
Missed you posted the gameplay, just got it linked on Skype.
More moba shit, can't say I'm impressed or interested.
Game title doesn't seem to mean anything, fancy sci-fi world lore doesn't mean anything… yawn
-
Hmmm, I would be way more excited about this if everybody just had the grapple hook and they made the levels crazy vertical and open, kinda Bionic Commando remake meets an arena shooter.
-
Very cool stuff man!
PS> Since this thread sort of became about the game, I went ahead and renamed the title of the thread for Lawbreakers.
