Considering the other consoles are where the WiiU was a year ago it's not that surprising

Sounds like Mario Kart 8 is as amazing as everyone expected, god damn I can't wait to get me some. Also I'm sure we've all noticed the Luigi death stare meme that has been running riot, and for good reason:

This boys, is what we call a system seller!

It is a great game and the online play is nice, you press play online and you're put right into a lobby with other people where you vote for a track and go. I cannot fault the visuals anywhere and I've never seen or noticed it drop below 60fps even in split screen.

I think I'll be taking it over to my mates house this weekend and giving it a proper 4-player split screen run, the way it's meant to be played.

If you have a WiiU, get this game.

I love Mario Kart and this one's looking especially great, but isn't it kinda sad that the only thing that gets ppl excited about the Wii U is another Mario Kart? I hope for Big N that they have another ace up their sleeve at E3...

Aye, gonna wait until I've seen what Nintendo got in store at E3, but I'm pretty close to buying a Kart8 bundle + Super Mario 3D World.

Most definitively. Time will tell and it's sad indeed. I think the biggest problem is it's name and outdated specs. I spent a lot of time in shops that sell games (whenever my wife drags me a long to go shopping). You can't imagine how many times I've heard people say that they didn't know what the Wii U is and how it differs from the Wii. There's a lot of confusion about the product itself.
