I wasn't expecting an editor at all, I thought it would have been possible to plug contents on the standard UDK to make new maps, but also having this Classic Editor is really a fantastic "operation nostalgia"

I'd call this more painkiller than RoTT.

Painkiller how? I mean there are some similarities in gameplay, but even so Painkiller is more of an arena, serious sam type of shooter.

The trailer has heavy metal music blaring all over it. You're moving a million miles and hour blasting everything in sight in rapid succession and I can hear cheesy one liners. It doesn't make me think of the old RoTT. And before anyone thinks I'm saying it's bad I'm not, I'm saying it isn't RoTT to me personally from watching all of the trailers.

Well what do you associate with the original ROTT? It'd be interesting to know...

None of that. Slower paced, no heavy metal music, no duke nukem one liners. Maybe the trailer is just giving the wrong impression to me.

I've never played the original, but I just looked at the original and then this one, and it looks nothing like it. I wish you kept the gun in the center of the screen, just for nostalgia

Just FYI the original had oneliners as well =)

As for looking alike, well, we went with a less blocky design since mimicking 90 degree angle boxes probably wouldn't have been that much of a success. I will say it's slower paced than e.g. Serious Sam or Painkiller, but it also depends on which character you pick etc.

Did you watch the gameplay videos on the last page dux? I never played the original but I did watch this:

To me the new one looks like it's in the same vein: very fast-paced, traditional shooter full of slow-moving Nazis and coins. Interesting that it was meant to be a Wolfenstein 3D sequel, never knew about it. Clearly the art is different but let's face it, the original looks like ass.

I used to play RoTT loads when I was younger, mind you the sound never worked for me.

I dont know if I would say the original ROTT was slower paced. It was a nutbar fast game.

The original at the time was impressive, like the difference between Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat "Look! It's realistic*!"

    *speaking of the characters/graphic style

I think I just hit Ep3. It's fast and fun but a little buggy. Also getting snagged on walls during the jump pad sections whyyyyyyy.
