Maybe we can organize a time to play together?

Due to Humble Jumbo Bundle, I have three free copies to share for anyone interested. Just hit me a pm.

(sorry for getting this off from the dead)

The original mod hooked me seriously for a while, I used to play with a good friend.

I'd like to play it, but not sure about ping... my connection has regular, extremely long lags. I added you to the contacts (Cake Glutton) might try to see if it's playable.

Game crashes at times and i'm only in the training.

Plus found a bug there, at the first re-supply removed all my gear, proceeded, door closes and you have no pistol to continue, and no way to get one.

I think the modify screen is not so intuitive.

Yes, it's a game for hardcores, but I think a solution to improve can be found.

Most of the problem is that is not a contextual menu of sorts, behaving a bit differently depending if you are in front of a replenish point or not

You don't actually ever use a "replenish point"

I can imagine, still why don't just simplify and copy BF and have ammo replenish when you approach a crate stack? Or by pressing a [use] button like every other game available and keep the modify screen to it's core funtion?

Great, haven't had the chance to draft a map, hell, play a match! That they're already moving forward.

eonder if they have the scoop of Source 2 or moving to Unreal

Did the game got some substantial update in the recent past?

I never went over the training as there were some bugs and didn't like much the feeling of the movement. should give another try

Definitely give it another try :)

The game had major updates to maps and gameplay as well as adding new maps in the past 6 months.

It's a blast to play :D and it's so satisfying when you win the round/match after an intense firefight/push.

I used to play and enjoy the UT99 military realistic mod called "Infiltration" back in 2000, and Insurgency is pretty close to the feels of that mod; can't complain :)

Yeah I know the feeling, I spent a good amount of hours on the original mod at the time, I really enjoyed it (was also often playing with a friend so we would give some cover to each other).

I remember as one of the most rewarding shooters. But didn't give the same feeling when I tried the stand alone game.

Also I remember reading somewhere that they're working on a new version, and it's not gonna be Source this time? Or I remember it totally wrong?

Found a stash of old Insurgency mod screenshots! Lots of mapcorians worked on this :D (I can spot @Steppenwolf , @Erratic , @Pericolos0, @Evert, @Xanthi, @Jonny Phive... and I'm sure I'm missing some!)
