Battlefield 4

quick question for you DICE crew, how the copper will be handling - like bf3 or BadCopmany 2 ? i really hope it's more like BF3, and all the E3 footage looks like it (?)
-
Haha had some good laughs in those videos.

-
Ah man, have you seen those kill cams? The ones in Battlefield 3 weren't too bad because they zoomed right in on the killer and it was often hard to figure out where exactly they were, but this time it's much easier to see where they were and it shows you a red wallhack if there's something in the way.

I often play Battlefield in a very sneaky way, and while I'm used to shifting around after dying it really sucks for snipers and such — especially after the flash lights they had attached to their scopes in BF3.
-
I often anticipate that some pissed off guy will come looking for me if I'm close to an enemy flag. They're usually a bit too eager when pushing and get an encore of their last killcam.

-
Heh. I'm OK with the camera staying where you died and simply pointing in the direction of the killer, after all you should know which direction they shot from if you pay attention to the damage indicators. But zooming in a bit so it's really obvious where they were and highlighting them in red... man, it's just so casual. If some fuck found a hiding place so good I didn't spot him he deserves to keep it.
What happened to Battlefield 1942–2142 where you died and just got a view of the sky above your bleeding corpse?

-
I play in Hardcore mode so you don't get a killcam anyway, but yeah, that zoom is way too obvious and I agree that if you found a good hiding spot you should get to keep it. The idea that scopes reflect sunlight when they have a zoom greater that x7 was meant stop snipers from camping in a bush for an entire game. I think that is enough.
-
That looks... indistinguishable from BF3...
if you put a gun to my head before I watched that and make me guess which one it was, I probably would have said 3.
-
Haha Pone, why the hell do you have to have a gun to your head to answer that question? Sounds a bit dramatic lol.
-
I'm just saying if the games mafia (yes they exist) got a hold of me. Wouldn't make a diff. Couldn't say

Big post about the Commande Mode in BF4 : http://blogs.battlefield.com/2013/08/the-ro…commander-mode/
QuoteIn addition to this, you’ll also be able to designate High Value Targets, useful for pointing out especially dangerous enemies on the battlefield. An enemy on a kill streak of six or more will appear on the Commander’s screen as a selectable unit. This player’s location can be relayed to the entire team for a period of time (45 seconds at the moment).
So if you do well, you become EVERYONES target. Oh boy. And being a popular game, cheaters are bound to happen and will light up the map constantly.
-
lmao! That could actually be amazing if it tells the target they've been highlighted, so they can shit themselves and think of how to survive the next 45 seconds. It provide the kind of high-tension burst you normally only get in single-player games.
Even better would be if the player were highlighted for both teams, allowing the target's team to be white knights and protect him.

The full paragraph:
QuoteIn addition to this, you’ll also be able to designate High Value Targets, useful for pointing out especially dangerous enemies on the battlefield. An enemy on a kill streak of six or more will appear on the Commander’s screen as a selectable unit. This player’s location can be relayed to the entire team for a period of time (45 seconds at the moment). The Commander can add this aspect to a game where most players will shift focus for a while and hunt/protect this HVT player, as both teams are alerted about this Commander “promotion” when it happens. The attackers will receive additional bonuses when taking out said target, while the target will receive bonuses when performing kills while being HVT – thus both parties have something to gain from this. GTA’s classic “wanted stars” system is what we used as an inspiration for this, we think the highly skilled players will accept this challenge as the ultimate proof of becoming a lethal threat on the battlefield. As far as personal favorites go, the High Value Target is probably mine for the rush you get when you know that potentially the entire team is after you!
So yes, both teams get told who the HVT is, and so does the HVT for the duration. When "You are a High Value Target" pops up on your screen, it's time to leg it.
