Fucking gorgeous, especially the characters. But yeah, hope it at least has more arenas/mini sandboxes rather than just a tunnel. However if it's super well made then I'm fine with a heavily scripted rollercoaster ride as well, but making it slightly more open just feels like the natural place to take Battlefield's gameplay in singleplayer.

    But yeah, MP pls~~~

    Oh and China wewt~

    Guess these aren't confirmed, but

    http://bf4central.com/2013/03/battlefield-4-leaked-details/

    • Battlefield 4 will stick with 64 players. Maps are larger and more detailed.
    • Three factions: US, Russia, and an unnamed “Eastern/Asian” faction.
    • 4 classes with “additional features and tweaks” compared to BF3
    • Shipping with same amount of maps as BF3, there are plans for lots of DLC.
    • DLC is already in planning stages.
    • Battlefield 4 Premium will be available on day one and include some perks.
    • Most of the guns and vehicles from BF3 will return.
    • More squad features.
    • Commander feature returns, but won’t be the same as in BF2
    • Battlefield 4 is coming out on both current and next gen systems, and PC as well.
    • Game is more of an evolution rather than revolution of the series. Both technically and gameplay wise.
    • Will ship with more game modes than BF3
    • Will ship with more close quarter infantry maps than BF3
    • Frostbite 2 engine is pushed further in BF4. Better effects, higher res textures, more detailed game worlds, etc.
    • BF3 will still be supported after Battlefield 4 launches.
    • There is plan of some sort of integration between BF3 and BF4. Could be Battlelog-only.
    • Battlelog will be updated for Battlefield 4 with more social features and more detailed stats.
    • Single-player and co-op will return, new writers involved this time.

Time to start dropping crates on unexpecting teammates again

This looks amazing. Didn't expect such an improvement over BF3.

Scrolling the web is so depressing. A lot of people can't even tell the difference in graphical fidelity between BF3 and 4. But then again, they couldn't tell the difference in lighting between MW3 and BF3 either Such a shame since so much time goes into that.

Don't worry, some people notice! I showed the guys in the office this morning and they all creamed in their pants.

Looks really nice graphically and well put together generally. Seems DICE looked at the critical reception for BF3 SP and then looked at how Bad Company fared, and decided to mix the two up - this looks like it has a bigger focus on your character working with a tight group of other characters who all interact with each other, Bad Company style. Something that was missing from BF3 and probably made it feel a little soulless in comparison. Still though, I would've rather seen MP footage, which I'm sure will be great when it comes along.

Well I'm not expecting much from the single-player, but the multiplayer is sure to be great — especially if Battlefield 3's issues are refined and the stuff they've learnt from the DLC is remembered. A bit worrying that there'll be the same number of maps as in BF3 but even more of them will be CQC, I thought BF3 had too many small maps. But I guess DLC will work on that.

I just watched the 17 minute gameplay and I have to say that's the best work I have ever seen from a military game!

Their indirect lighting solution looks pretty much like UE4 techdemo. Their reflections pretty much like CE3, but in the flooded corridor there are no caustics.

How can the player survive being ambushed by helicopers, fall from a crumbling bulding and yet, can still walk, run and drive fine?

The school reminds me a lot of the Insurgency 2 school map

I hope you guys sneaked some hurgs into this game, otherwise I'm not buying it!
