So here's my natural-selection 2 map that I've been working on for around 2 years. v1.0 of the map is getting released with the next build of the game which should be in a day or two

It's mostly brushwork based with some props, pretty much source style.

    Here's the video:

It got posted on kotaku as well:

    And RPS:

Gorgeous stuff mate, you should be proud of what you've achieved.

Some of those textures look a little too much like blockout though, not a huge fan! Not your fault though.

    I lol'd at Hurg.

Anyways, I must confess I'm not a huge fan of the clean areas, I think it's too smooth and clean for NS. Even Ayumi, which was arguably the cleanest map in NS1, was far grittier. However the other parts of the level look mindblowing, especially the outside areas and that generator. Can't wait to try it out. :derp:

Thanks guys. And skacky, veil and eclipse were way cleaner than ayumi

reassuring to see those big spaces, relative to my experience with the alpha/beta.

    looks great.

Congrats, looking really nice. The blue interior reminds me of a hl1dm map, radiohazard or whatever it was called

That looks great, love the lighting/colours and how each area looks so distinctive. Did they end up keeping the dynamic alien infestation stuff in Natural Selection 2 so the areas get more grotty as time goes on?

Also, appearance of Hurg = awesome.

Sweet! I'm getting a nice old school vibe from this level (in a good way)!

The dynamic infestation is going to come at the end. Become low priority at the moment.

Looking cool man! I thought you guys were using modular pieces for trims, walls and stuff though? What exactly is brushwork on those pics?

Nothing really modular for my stuff. Tables and chairs are props obviously, crates, wires, pipes, a few wall pieces, the usual kind of prop stuff.

Hey, dux, amazing work. Pure pleasure for my eyes!

Somehow it feels so different from the stuff I'm used to seeing lately. The freshness of it for me makes me enjoy it twice as more. Loved the lighting work btw, even at places where I felt there was too much of different colors, I looked at it from gameplay point of view and things totally made sense. You guys rock there

It was also funny seeing some of the assets I did for NSII years ago
