    Hey guys,

Thought I would create a new thread dedicated to talking about games you just finished. That way we don't have to worry about spoilers and such.

    I'll go ahead and start!

    Uncharted 2 Among Thieves -

    [Blocked Image: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d2/Uncharted_2_updated_PS3_logo.jpg]

I'm a bit late to this party, but overall I really enjoyed the game. The art blew me away around every corner and the NPC interactions were just great all around. I enjoyed the ending, it didn't feel drawn out and it gave me a warm feeling inside, despite the fact they're patting each other on the backs about destroying and entire civilization ;D.

    Botanicula -

    [Blocked Image: http://download.gamezone.com/uploads/image/data/1103212/Botanicula.jpg]

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a strange game like this. There were sooo many moments that made me laugh and the music was just fantastic! I love these developers!

I like to keep things short

    Metal Gear Solid collection

    [Blocked Image: http://i.neoseeker.com/boxshots/R2FtZXMvUGxheXN0YXRpb25fMy9BY3Rpb24vU2hvb3Rlcg==/metal_gear_solid_hd_collection_frontcover_large_O6rtJE5sEtcuZ13.jpg]

I bought the HD releases of all Metal Gear Solid games (apart from MGS1 of course) and I'm replaying them all on the hardest difficulty. I'm a HUGE fan of this franchise, so this was a great excuse to replay them.

It's insanely good, especially MGS3 which is probably the best of them all, also has the best balance between gameplay and cutscenes time, which apparently it's the thing that people tend to criticize this games for, the lengthy cutscenes. Everything in the game, from gameplay, story, soundtrack is so amazingly put together it scratches the edges of perfection.

One of the reasons that I love this franchise so much, it's the amount of "little" things that you don't see in other core games, games that only do puzzles, only do story, only do shooting, only do sneaking, etc, MGS does it all in one package. Little things like, you can kill and eat any animal you find, if you leave it in your inventory for too long it goes rotten, if you eat it anyway you get food poisoning, then you need to induce vomiting or take a stomach pill, caught a poisenous snake or scorpion and trow them at an enemy and see them getting bitten and passing out, I could stay here all day.

MGS is one of the only franchises that I can think of, that you can feel the amount of love that's been put into it.

    Mass Effect 3

    [Blocked Image: http://www.gbposters.com/images/gbposters-com/lightbox/b7f7/29261/FP2655-MASS-EFFECT-3-cover.jpg]

Although haven't finished it yet, i'm about to. I found the combat very boring, non-compelling, area after area the combat is the same, it's so repetitive if it wasn't for the really great story and dialogs I would have quit after a few hours.

What I love about the game, is the cinematic experience. How close and personal you can get to some characters and how badass your character is. It really is a shame about the poor gameplay.

    Dark soul

    [Blocked Image: http://www.gamoniac.fr/pictures/game/preview/778_dark_soul_ps3.jpg]

This game was very addictive and more accessible than Deamon's soul wich is too difficult. I love that kind of game where you are throw in a world without any help of direction (like vagrant Story, metroid Prime, Tomb Raider) and you have to find your way out. And Dark soul is very good at it. You can go in a place you need only after 20 hours of game at the beggining if you want (you die yes, haha, but it's good). And sooo many secrets, a friends helped me so i didn't found the game too difficult but hell yeah. How did you know you have to found a secret key and return at the beginning of the game to found a small ring which is A LOT usefull for the rest of the game.

Environment are huuuuuuge and I love when you see a place you visited before from another one, like chaos ruins from the giant graves. But the game is a bit ugly unfortunatly, less good than deamon's souls which is a shame.

I will certainly buy the PC edition in august

Surprised by how much I enjoyed this, it's a bit rough around the edges in terms of graphics, animations etc and some of the design decisions are a bit strange but there's some good ideas in there and the general tone and mood of the game is bang on. Fending people off by pointing a gun at them that you know isn't loaded, and them calling your bluff on it is pretty cool. It's not very long though and there's a bit of backtracking involved, also the bits in the dense dust/fog are a bit annoying mainly as you don't know where you are half the time (and the map isn't very helpful). Overall though I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something a bit different for 5 hours or so

    Kingdom Hearts II

    [Blocked Image: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/ed/Kingdom_Hearts_II_(PS2).jpg]

After having played this game when I was younger I decided to go back to it once more. I gotta say I still enjoyed it as much as when I first played it if not more. For me this is one of the best PS2 games out there (provided you played the first one).

With this game series Square Enix took a bunch of Disney Stories and put them into one fun and addictive storyline. The gameplay and the game in general could be compared to the Final Fantasy series; the leveling and ability system is rather simular while the fighting is entirely dynamic and more fun (IMO; note that I have not played all FF games, only the older ones).

All in all I spent around 60 hours on this game which is quite a lot looking at other titles coming out these days. If you still have a PS2 laying around I defenitely recommend you to give KH1 and KH2 a try.

    Diablo 3

    [Blocked Image: http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/galleries/2011-10-21/diablo-iii-box-art/diablo-iii-box-art_1319228920.jpg]

Pure awesome. Not really any different from Diablo 2 except that its more streamlined and has better cg cut scenes (as per blizzard usual).

9/10 for me, since it doesnt really bring anything new to the genre. They could have at least included one of the things I loved about Titan Quest which was that the enemies dropped the weapons they were using so you could actually tell from a distance if a creature had an awesome weapon.

i was stunned, the game has the best visual shit and locations ever

but i was let down a lil by the gameplay, those shootouts sometimes were just boring, and the game has exact Uncharted II scheme

    Just finished Crysis 2

    [Blocked Image: http://team.vips.free.fr/images/jaquette/32846-crysis-2-xbox360.jpg]

Beautifull game, really § I like too all the paths you can use, it's not just a corridor and I didn't love so muche the very opened area from crysis (a sort of meh for me). But it's not a game I will replay, like the first one. You juste need to put you maximum armor and kill everything, it's so easy .

    And the story... WTF !

WTF as in positive or negative? I am still thinking about buying it. As long as I do not have to install origin.

I mean WTF for "OMG WTF happened to me ?" The storyteling is a bit a mess. It's still enjoyable but I think we found someone more docile and dumb than Gordon Freeman.

Just finished Diablo on normal. Auction house gear made the second half of Act 3 and all of Act 4 retardedly easy.

    oops, big image.

Overall, I was a bit disappointed with this game. They could have expanded on puzzles / story with the IKE character. A lot of rinse and repeat puzzles with small tweaks in them. I prob had the most fun towards the end when I could use all my powers at once. The ending was an extreme disappointment.

The art style was cute and their use of unreal streaming wasn't too bad, great how you never hit a loading screen. The Vo wasn't terrible also, which was great.

    7/10

    Skyrim (PC)

    [Blocked Image: http://www.systemrequirements.in/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/the_elder_scrolls_v_skyrim_cover.jpg]

I can say that Skyrim is one of the best games ever looking from game developers perspective. Plot, quests and graphics are enough simple to keep them entertaining but there are few flaws in graphics (start of the game, it didn't worked well but play along, next quest will be way better!) and in quests (typical game bugs like guy should die but he didn't so you need to load last save and try again or avoid this quest if it's broken). There's a 1.5 patch that fixes lots of issues and patch 1.6 will be released soonthat will add mounted fight and many other things. Worth waiting and if you didn't started playing Skyrim, wait for the 1.6 patch and start the game from begining. There's also DLC on X360 exclusive, I've played on PC so it doesn't made me happy after all I've spent 65 hours to finish the main plot and make about 50 small quests. If you didn't played Skyrim yet, you have to find something like 40-70 hours to play.

    Saya no Uta (PC)

    [Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/t6AHo.jpg]

After being told repeatedly to pick this up I went through all of it over the weekend. There are three decisions in the whole “game” and it’s about eight hours long. This is a horror visual novel with a very Lovecraftian vibe to it. Monsters from another dimension, an intelligence we can’t comprehend, and an appearance that immediately renders people insane. It’s completely dark and even the lighter moments are twisted as you know things the characters do not.

The main character is suffering from agnosia after an experimental brain surgery and sees the whole world warped, Silent Hill otherworld style, with rotting meat covering walls and people appearing as maggot-like monsters. The exception is Saya, an innocent looking girl he meets in hospital, who lives with him as he becomes more reclusive and hostile. All this stuff is great and I was interested through the whole thing.

However, within Japanese visual novels there seems to be a requirement to add erotic scenes. The stuff in Saya no Uta is defended as supposedly necessary for the plot and the increasing depravity represents the main characters decline. I don’t really buy that and the lack of subtlety in these scenes makes it hard to recommend this to norms. I think you can turn this off, but by doing so you also need to turn off ‘disturbing images’ which is pretty vague as that could be 90% of the game.

That's certainly interesting, does that video reflect the majority of the game? You mentioned that you made three decisions throughout, is the rest of the game just like the video, or is there some form of gameplay in there as well?

Wow, I think I may not have had the patience for the pace of it. Neat though.
