oh shit tupac is alive. i knew it
I stopped dealing with CoD a ways back, my most current CoD game is the first MW (CoD4). I had the chance to play the most recent MW3 with some friends recently and I honestly just wanted to play my older CoD4 or Halo3; they are SO MUCH MORE FUN.
More on the topic of this new one: I'm glad to hear that they're trying something different, but I really don't care for it so far. I'll be playing my Battlefield 3 and wait to see what else is new when it comes out; I'd probably rather buy a new IP game than a new CoD.
Im probably gonna spend a day or two playing through the campaign ![]()
Awesome that trent is doing the music
I heard that he is only making the main theme. Perhaps someone knows more about this?
And yeah Marvin, MW1 was great. The last great CoD-game.

No idea.
One thing to note on game soundtracks, though I know many devs here already are aware of this, is that often a big name composer is prohibitively expensive to do a full soundtrack (people like Trent Reznor, Michael Giacchino, Hans Zimmer, etc.). So they may be paid a big fee (but still within overall game budget) to do a main theme or a single track for a game. Then a publisher/developer negotiates to have rights to modify, extrapolate from, etc. additional music from that 1 track for use specifically in the game. So if you have a really talented music composer but isn't big name who also has the ability to do such extrapolation and what not, they just take what the celebrity composer does and kablamo...you have a soundtrack that hopefully fits in your budget while being "good" and then you can say things like

However, even if he costs in the millions to do a full game soundtrack and other related audio engineering for the game, I don't imagine Activision not being able to afford him. But money is money so who knows.
With each CoD release it's getting harder for Actiblizz to "up" the last one. I think they're doing a good job to make people forget that they bought almost the same game not too long ago. If you think that's applaudable is up to you ![]()

From Shacknews:
QuoteVideo Games Live co-producer Jack Wall, who worked on the score for Mass Effect 2, composed the rest of the music for the game.
Mw1 had the last good sp, and mw2 had the last good mp. Treyarch have never made any really good games, just mediocre games with tons of sales sadly.

This, not interested one bit.
Same. Except I want to hear Reznor's contributions.
