They still have a ways to go and only 7 days...
I sent a few bucks, hope it helps! -
I don't think they'll make it. 6 days to go and they still need 35 000.See, this is what really annoys me.... Some crazy woman wants to talk bullshit about, the industry, men in general and how macho driven it is and how horrible is it that a plumber called mario wants to save the princess, the damsel in distress. That woman is not creating anything, she's trying to destroy, therefor she obviously gets 100 000 in days. These guys are working for years on this, try and raise money to finally ship it, they get zip. People man... people.

I really think that industry is on edge and needs to change some rules.
first of all ale the attacks on video media like this next YT's strike

i'm really getting a vibe that AAA companies (at least most of them) don't undestand how this is working, the race for cash will take them nowhere eventually.
And there are indies with great games, great ideas and fresh stuff, im sure that we will wipeout the AAA / rest of the games border, look how next gen consoles supports indie's and to be honest those guys deserve our attention. -

Too fucking right man. I get so disappointed in the general populace these days.

That is a very uninformed claim. If you've been following that youtube debacle properly, you'd know AAA companies and publishers have no involvement on it. It's an automated system set up by YouTube itself to avoid the usage of copyrighted material by youtube partners, and if such material is used, the person uploading it wont get any money. (Which sucks for them cos there's a lot of people living off of youtube, like "let's play" guys, boogie, total biscuit, etc)
Thing is, AAA devs and publishers alike (ubisoft, blizzard, and many others) have come out in the open this week they think this is bollucks, they have no problem in youtubers making videos of their games like "let's play" videos, in fact they encorage it (after all, its free PR)
Please watch this http://revision3.com/addressthesess/youtubecopyright and listen to this http://epicbattleaxe.com/profiles/blogs…through-my-lips

oh shit, i was SURE publishers and dev's are pushing it, thanks man
-
Ok i saw the Rev3 video, and i was sooo wrong lol, stupid me, anyways odd what YT is trying to get

About that youtube thing, as hp said, videogame publishers don't mind it because this is indeed free commercials seen in a non intrusive way, indeed you are usually there to watch the let's play willingly and trust the honesty of the guy doing it, so it works even better because you can't see the huge marketing machine at work.
I think it's more the music publishers and the movie ones who have an interest in applying this copyright infringement system, maybe even the marketing companies who see a concurrence. But even though, it's like an adult taking a candy from the hands of a baby for what the "youtubbers" actually earn.
In the end it's deserving youtube (google) which works just as a technical operator and just need to get as much people as possible on their networks to sell free brain space for commercials. Having people earning money for making videos is a great way to add more content and make their network live. It's actually even worse because the bots they need to develop and use to recognize a song or whatever and then delete the content is actually costing them money. Although probably less than an army of lawyers that would have to deal with all the different copyrights laws in each country legislations.
-
Publishers are also paying youtubers to make videos about their games
-
Hmm, there's still hope for these guys! They're now up to 66% and just reached 42k!
Maybe there's still people willing to contribute to creation instead of destruction.

-
Game got funded and now might even reach its first stretch goal!
Someone made a nice effort.
Oh, Merry christmas to everyone btw.
-
YES!!! Srsly, this made my christmas!

Two people making a game really takes ages. Good news is that they're at least determined to finish what they started.
Here's 13 min of gameplay:
Gives me a The Swapper vibe, but still a bit different. Must confess this is not getting me intrigued, seems too "puzzle for the sake of puzzle". Despite the sci-di environment it doesn't look believable/making sense to me this whole time gate and self-replication of a robot.
This is radically different from what I thought the game would turn out when they had their tech teaser video released ages ago.
-
What did you think the game was going to be, just out of curiosity?
When I first saw it, I sorta envisioned a game with little to no combat, so puzzles kind of becomes the go-to obvious thing to do.
I think indie games right now can sorta only do 1 out of 3 things, combat, storytelling or puzzles. When you see a team picking 2 or more out of that list, the game never usually sees the light of day.
-
It gives me a SOMA vibe.
-
Well @[HP] they only showed a robot waking up so could have been anything.
I agree about the "indie triangle" of options, still remains that this demo was very boring. And I like puzzle stuff, but this looks too arbitrary. Also graphically that teaser was another thing…
