So yeah been playing it some more with a group of friends.

It sucks. Needs some real work.

What sucks about it?

The framerate is terrible.

The vehicles are terrible.

The menu system is clunky and difficult to navigate.

Hacking bases isn't an event anymore.

No FOV slider, default is too low.

If they can sort our the terrible vehicles and the framerate then it'll be decent. But so far, unimpressed.

That's a shame. In terms of the vehicles I was just hoping it'd be like BF3 but on a much larger scale.

How is the infantry combat?

Let's hope they make some improvements based on feedback from the beta!

The infantry combat is ok. But the framerate just bombs for me in combat so I cant really enjoy it all that much.

What sort of specs are you running dux?

Beta invites start in about 5 hours apparently. I've been looking for another MMO to get addicted to again lol. SWTOR wasn't the one. Hoping PS2 lives up to my hype.

I'm still pumped as hell for this, but I'm going to wait for the final release. I went through more than a fair share of technical issues and balance problems way back with the original PlanetSide beta, and while the game ended up fairly terrific upon release it was a serious slog getting there.

Not that I discourage anyone else from giving it a go, as the more you guys complain — make sure you report concerns because they did genuinely act on feedback with PS1 even if it meant relatively dramatic changes — the better the game will ultimately be.

The thing is, I'd happily play Planetside 1 now if it had a graphical update, was a pretty fun game despite how old it was and the problems it had.

Some very racist clan/outfit recruitment for Planetside 2. It made me laugh. If it didn't do the same for you, then you wasted another min of your life

If I learned a single thing from playing allot of SOE games, its don't play until at least a month after release. I know allot of people don't have the patience, but it's a good idea Infact, much can be said for any MMO

i really really really enjoy it.

Played this the other night.. It's awful. Feels very floaty and it just felt like everyone was running around like headless chickens. Uninstalled after 30 mins or spawning and dying 2 seconds after leaving spawn.

Yeah I fear that is what happened with me.. I feel bad for not giving it more of a chance, but if I don't enjoy the first 30 mins, why should I force myself to keep playing?
