Well, they're already going in the right direction where for most stations you can watch full show on their respective websites, but yeah, most of that is only restricted to the US, which sucks.

Good point, as it stands I got no other way to watch my favorite shows (House, 24, Dexter, etc, etc) other than illegally download it, if there was a way to stream it from somewhere as 720p (at the very least) with subtitles I would pay for it without even thinking about it.

And there's millions of other people in the same situation I am, so why they don't' create a good solid system for that kind of thing is beyond me.

There's going to be piracy as long as there's no good service available.

Since Steam and GOG.com appeared there's no reason to pirate anything gaming-wise.

I buy Music in CD's, I would settle down on digital downloads instead but prices are same or higher and you dont get the thing in physical form at all .

Movies dont have a proper service for us europeans (US guys also have movies on PSN afaik, a rather large collection), Itunes movies... buying some stuff there but how many times can you watch "jennifer's body"?

You have to realise Chris, that times change and if there is a "service" like torrent that provides content in a instantenous fashion then people choose it over paying and waiting for delivery, some people also dont like to stack up DVD's - ie. they watch movies/series once and thats it - much like when they buy a movie ticket. I'm not going to get into how people think that content that's out there is free for them to pirate/download, that's a mentally you can't change or regulate - you have to come against it with a better service (or lower your fucking prices).

For me the answer is a solid no, and nothing said here makes me change my mind. I'm not old fashioned, I just care and respect peoples work and I think self control makes you a better person.

I think Zune and hulu are going in the right direction. I don't mind paying to "rent" a movie digitally but I'm surely past buying DVDs and CDs. I'm not rebuilding my entire library in bluray either.

I left a small collection of dvds in Brazil and honestly had no idea how to get rid of them. I felt really stupid for buying all that crap and realizing I had never watched at least half of those movies.

I'm trying to get rid of all the unnecessary crap in my life. I donated 80% of my clothes when I moved here and traded in old games I would never play again. I have a much more smaller library now only with games that really matter.

With some exceptions, in most cases I prefer to make a digital download/ purchase of something I want.

Physical items take a big space of your shelf, and the chance that I'll use them again are too low.

Making a digital purchase depends on the nature of the merchandise. Books, for example, I prefer to have them in my hands rather than stay staring at a computer screen for hours for read them. In the case of games, when I know the game is really awesome - before buying it - I like to have the box and its contents, like for example limited and collector's edition.
