By release Alan Wake for PC!

Finished it on XBox and I loved it, this PC release is a good excuse to play it again!

Steam too, right? I hated the game, its story and its parodies (after waiting so long for it) but it’s INDEED good for playing with a girl… in the dark and with few clothes.

    Lolwut, that reply

You play with a pad, she plays with another, sounds like a fair outcome, everyone wins.

so let me get this straight, microsoft force remedy to butcher alan wake so it'll run on shitbox360. it goes from being open world adventure and exploration to being shine a torch in this direction down these tree-lined corridors, and now once their decision to go exclusive means they didn't make any money from it after a 7 year development, they decide to bring the tattered and butchered remains to PC, and we should be happy about it?

lol business men. eat a dick.

I thought Alan Wake was absolutely superb so it's nice to see a wider audience will get to enjoy it.

Ooh, American Nightmare is coming out this month? Looking forward to that more than the PC version to be honest.

Funny cause I never felt compelled to finish this game. I've been playing it on and off for over a year and still haven't finished it lol.

When you eventually finish it you'll look back and think "that was awesome". I too took like 1.5 years to finish it, though.

I laughed when everyone said Alan Wake wasn't horror. Play that shit on the hardest difficulty setting available on your first play through and tell me that's not survival horror game play.

Go ahead. Give it a shot.

P.S. - It doesn't count if you played through the first time on normal and come back to hard mode with a mastery of the mechanics.

Yep that's good advice. I was playing it on Hard and the difficulty was perfect imo.

I played up to Episode 4 in one session two nights ago, I mean to finish it today. Alan Wake's a pretty damn good game. It's got some niggling issues (every time I die/see a cutscene/etc it resets my camera to having alan on the right side of the screen when I prefer him on the left, having a high FOV makes the shooting really hard since you're at a misaligned camera angle shooting along a misaligned firing path following the beam of the flashlight, when enemies get all up in your shit there's really no way out except to browse through your inventory and use a flare, no sort of panic button, and enemy attacks stun you from using the flare/dodging other incoming attacks/etc), but overall I'm loving the atmosphere and the storytelling. The game's storytelling, not Alan's. He's a shitty writer. Dude leans on adjectives and adverbs and terrible metaphors like a crutch.
