It's been forever since I released anything, but I just put online a little test I made in Portal 2 over the summer. It was originally a design test for Valve, which eventually got me the interview at Irrational Games...

Let me know what you think of it

time to play it again! the playtesting was a lot of fun You should write a proper Postmortem for the level, it went through so many design itterations and could be a great lesson for anyone! :science:

I endorse the previous post! Something along the lines of Corwins articles!

Thanks guys Very little has changed since you guys tested it, I only changed a couple of things that could create bugs and fixed the lighting here and there. Nothing new for you guys I'm afraid

Cool levels! Liked the attention-grabbers with the panels!

Just played through, it's really cool, felt very close to the original test chambers (the "it requires some thinking, but somehow I never get stuck" difficulty). Nice!

Some non-map feedback; the download button on the site could be slightly more attention-grabbing

    Going to check it out!

EDIT: It's more that it's dark blue text on a dark grey background. And that it's smaller then the release date text.

True, I should make it a button instead of pure text

Neat stuff, just about the right amount of puzzling. I didn't feel lost at all but just had to figure out what I had to work with. Only issue I had was in the first room. I fell in the water and when the game reloaded I was in a continuous loop of falling into the water.

Crap, can you let me know where that is so I can fix it?

Errr... I tried to repro it over lunch with no luck. I will try again later tonight to figure out what exactly it was I did

Edit: Couldn't get it to repro. Pretty sure it was the first room and was involving a launch pad pushing me through a portal. I tried about every combination of that but couldn't remember exactly how I did it. I think I dropped the cube or missed it and went back to get it and accidentally was launched somewhere causing me to get stuck in the loop.
