    http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/4038 ... elease.php

Just want to say a quick word for all the people from Starbreeze being laid off at the moment, less than a week before the release of the game. That sucks big fat monkey balls

Especially since a lot of the people affected are people who busted their ass to release that damn game. Not sure if a lot of them are hanging around here, but anyway, hope everyone will bounce back soon enough... :/

    Wait... WHAT?!?

Thibault, I'm so sorry to hear that, were you affected?

This is really bad news, and extremely unfair. It also probably means there's no plans for another title in the close future, therefore no funding from a publisher = force to lay people off since this is a independent studio.

Very sad news for all the people involved and a shame that the Swedish game industry just became a tad weaker. Wish the former employees all the best and hope they get back on the saddle as soon as possible!

No, I'm good, I 'jumped ship' to Machinegames last spring.

The worst part in the whole thing is the timing. The project was painful enough as it is, they could at least have waited a week or so to let people enjoy the release... [Blocked Image: https://migrationtest.mapcore.org/public/style_emoticons/default/mapcore_smilies/emot_shakehead.gif]

Apparently all of the seniors from Starbreeze went over to Machine Games a while back!

are there any kind of review for this yet iam still on the fence as to weather or not i should get it...

also i am thinking that me (and most people should) boycott games launches where half the devs get laid off once the product is done ... you know to send a msg we would need a lot of people for this to work though

Yeah, but in the same time, that would just hurt the developer even more. I'm thinking, I should be getting it asap at launch to support them as much as we can no?

Wait are you buying a game just so more people don't get fired? That's a bizarre logic you got there

The money is all going to EA anyway...

About 4 hours in, really enjoying it. Super solid shooter, and I love the way it looks. Alarmingly little dubstep so far tho

Finished it, bit of a weak ending. In general then I'd say that the boss fights were just a tad too hard and long (that's what she said) for my liking, though the last one was pretty damn intense.

Pretty good game though, enjoyed it a lot more than I'd expected~

I've only played 20 minutes to try it out as I wanted to wrap up Alan Wake before really sinking my teeth into this one!

But oh shit. The action is TIGHT. And the 'hard' difficulty level seems like it will provide some challenge. Looking forward to playing more!

I can't really explain why, but I really much prefer the bloom from syndicate (which have a lot of lens-flare, specular adn bloom effect) rather than the one from Crysis 2.

I loved some environment in the game, like this one :
