Can studios not handle multiple projects any more? What makes you think porting Crysis 1 is going to require the entire (not small) building, or if it does for a length of time that'd result in other projects being permanently backburned?I'd rather Crytek UK handle it so the central Crytek team can work on, say, Crysis 3.

That's not the point. You announce something people don't find interesting, they're not going to be receptive to it. Pretty much everyone here played Crysis 1 to death three years ago, thus: this thread

    (srsly though rip timesplitters )

Lighting looks way better on the 360, imo.

Well, I guess it's a matter of taste. in my case I think they are over contrasted, like crysis 2, and the blue on the sky is even fluorescent.

For a game like Crysis which try to render a realistic jungle, the lighting (I mean the colors mostly) on the 360 break all this goal.

Crysis still looks unbeatable on PC. I wonder if the next generation will be able to render graphics like this?

Well yeah it's the kind of engine you can throw anything at and you'll get good results, the limiting factor is obviously the hardware and production costs - crysis 1 had the luxury of reusing the vast majority of assets considerably more than say, an urban game. I can;t wait for the next consoles, can be pretty sure we'll see crysis 1 fidelity visuals on your tv's woot

Haha. On my phone that did actually look like a Crysis screenshot.

I will quantify my above statement by clarifying that I only played TimeSplitters 2 for like 10 minutes before deciding I couldn't be arsed with it.

Timesplitters was the real reason I hated on Halo. Not because I'm a PC fanboy; because I know that all that bullshit they laid at the feet of Halo 1 about making a good fps on consoles was done a year before, and way better, by Timesplitters.
