Anybody seen it yet? Just checked my “local” Odeon (uk) and it’s on.

if I can manage leaving work early today I could make an early eve screening… I’m not sure what’s the “recliner screen”? ?

    Seen this last night.

Its a visually great film, also music/sound send you back to Blade Runner.

But that’s it, I didn’t get into the story. They use one of those misleading tricks that annoy the audience so much.

Hope you guys do. I’ll give it another shot when comes out on steaming, maybe after watching the original again.

Watched it today and loved it. Definitely one of the best films that I've seen in a while.

Sets, colors, sound, music, atmosphere, characters, story - it's all authentic (at least to me).

Don't feel like I've been tricked as it serves its purpose without going too much into detail, s/ @blackdog.

So, if you like a dystopic masterpiece raining down on you, go see it, definitely worth the watch.

This mechanisms always serve a purpose, but to me it’s just so glaring that feels too fake. I think doesn’t display courage in what you’re writing. You want to show your cards early, find a way to make it interesting till the end.

I can get over these “long games” in movies like Saw/thrillers in general, normally they have a clever way to explain things and things happen too fast to notice gaps, but you do it in sci-fi and I feel tricked, it’s basically a deus ex machina. We are talking about thirty years of plan…! Were they just waiting for K to accidentally uncover the secret?

Dunno maybe I just had too high expectations.

The pictures and the colors are so beautiful so I wanted to pause the movie every second at the theatre. Can wait to rewatch at home and stare at the magnificent details of the landscapes.

Also did someone noticed that the JOI hologram is an acronyme meaning Jerk Off Instruction

Proud to learn that the K's LAPD car is a Peugeot. ^^

Yeah, that might be the case. So, there are two situations which are pretty similar in the film. Both show him feeling the falling snow. First time he is realizing he might be b*** naturally. The second time it's the feeling, that yes, indeed, he thought that but in fact he isn't. But he still felt it. Symbolising that his 'race' is indeed capable to feel and do something greater.

I might be explaining the obvious here though.

I've been on media blackout and saw it yesterday.

My god. I was completely transfixed. Visually stunning film.

Great film overall. However, a bit muddled and messy in the middle with some solid world building and intrigue at the start and a good wrap-up towards the end. I didn't really feel the original needed a sequel but I'm not bothered that there was one either. Definitely need this on Blu-ray!

I've been avoiding any media in regards to this movie until i saw it today. I just realized there's 3 shorts for it out, but watching it after was interesting too, allowed me to fill a few gaps, such as who's the blind guy for instance.

I went in with zero expectations, I've been so disapointed with hollywood lately, with these trends of remakes and sequels, I went in borderline cynical about it. It didn't help that just before the movie they played a trailer for the DC "avengers" and another pacific rim??

From the first frame and the first strings of music of Blade Runner 2049 my eye lids just opened wide, this is one visually amazing and striking movie, so many hidden meanings in the dialog, in the set pieces, in how they light the shots, in the emotion of the music, it's a pretty masterful movie in nearly every regarded for me, apart from minor things.

I didn't feel Blade Runner needed a sequel at all, quite the contrary, but you know what, I felt that every person that worked on this film had a huge respect for the original movie, i really felt they worked on this and knew they had to honor the artists that came before them, and it shows.

I'm considering going to imax to watch it again if i find the time, some of the scenes here need to be experienced in a huge screen and with a killer sound system. My inner nerd is pretty damn satisfied tonight.

Also, I know what I'll be listening during the week: https://open.spotify.com/album/5kSUsy5FU3Wcxd4DBvXFm4
