    shields would break the game....

    AWPs break the game

    Deagles break the game

    Fog breaks the game

    Physics props break the game

    Detail breaks the game

Everything breaks the game. Let's sit in a grey box and wait for the round timer to end.

Oh wait, the round timer is too long, too short, and breaks the game.

Shields would add an extra element to the game. You lose your firepower but get a bit more defense. I think it'd be a great addition, plus be fun as hell.

But wait shit, we need to keep the game competitive!!! Don't wanna screw with those entitled comp players of course.

I can only imagine what a full server with like 5-6 CT's having shields would be like. Honestly it doesnt sound fun at all haha.

I can dig a shield. It's like the tazer, it's not allowed in competitive so its honestly no sweat off my back EXCEPT for the fact that it's probably wasted development time

Valve have an infinite amount of development time tho, so it's cool.

The game breaks the game =D

It could be possible to limit shields to 1-2 team members.

Except some rare occasions were physical object would be very bouncy -because of the collisions with the ground I guess- I never had a problem with CSS gameplay, I definitely adjusted faster to those than going back to the staticity of CSGO. I liked knocking barrels that were covering, I liked rolling them down Dust2 A to have people change approach, etc.

Im confused. Are they really about to release a OP that is full of all old maps, charge people, and run it for 4-5 months?

I'd speculate 8 old maps X number of new maps.

I don't hate mappers, but I only would've liked to see (if they really had to put back this many old maps): Cache, Agency, Ali (with proper framerate fixes) and Favela return. Seaside is bullshit to me and always will be. The others, never played them because they didn't interest me that much, so I can't say good or bad about them.

This is so weird. Last couple of days I can connect to a server but when the map is loaded, I don't get the selection screen. I can fly through everything as if I was no clipping. Rejoining didn't help. This cost me a couple of matches but I finally figured out what the problem is. I set the launch option to windowed mode due to issues I otherwise have with Hammer. Changing it to full screen from the game, without loading the map first, causes this problem for me. Unfortunately, due to this issue I got a 7 day ban for disconnecting

I hate casual mode. Back tot Titanfall then.

So we have to pay more money to play maps we've already bought? I love supporting you guys and have done for every map pack so far, but that's a bit lazy on Valve's part.

you can play the maps on community servers so you don't have to pay money. also i would be very surprised if they didn't also throw in a bunch of new maps as well - there's a lot of good stuff out there.

also this isn't so much lazy, but rather a great way to get people interested in playing and adopting new maps. dust2 is like 60% of competitive games on MM, so getting people to invest both mentally and monetarily in something makes them more inclined to start playing different maps.
