I feel like the new m4 is really, really good at accurate burst-fire, even while moving. I get lots of 'lucky' kills panic spraying at Ts that cross my path. Not so much with the AK, but the AK can get a OHKO with a headshot (which is starting to make me aware of my monitor's resolution. At 19" 1440x900, people standing just within range of the AK doing this aren't really taking up enough of my screen real estate for me to accurately point at their heads. I just as often burstfire into their shoulders and get myself killed ). The p90's also really good for semi-accurate burst fire. The dual barettas, too, I always go for them over the deagle on pistol rounds.

The guns that so far are the most frustrating for me are the shotguns. I feel like their spread patterns are just too random, and too wide right now. I'll sometimes go through four guys in a row, one shot to center mass, one kill, feeling like a terminator, and sometimes I'll empty my clip from <10ft, reload, and empty it again, die, and check the console to find I got one hit for 12 damage from all of that.

    2) I'm finding it very difficult to distinguish between the CT and T models in a lot of situations. The result: dying within seconds of realisation and TK'ing all the damned time.

This!! I constantly have to look at the radar because of this!

Skins need to be reworked to have better silhouettes for gameplay, TF2 is a great example of this. All skins are also the same fucking color, desaturated low brightness colors! At least on CSS the CT's were more towards the blue shifts, and T's more warm colored.

PS. And I want my force skin back.

A variable that locks CT and T to one model/skin.

    Agreed.

Hard to distinguish and the color coding is weird as well. I could've sworn I saw a blue terrorist 8|

Demolition Mode is pretty good practice for getting used to the weapons and whatnot!

    Amen!

I remenber there was a few months were custumizing your skin on CS:S was fully allowed, even with cheat protection on. I just used tinted solid colors skins (like in quake) and its much better that way, you actually concentrate on playing the game and not look for enemies on every single corner of the game.

The remake of de_dust and de_dust2 in this game, as well as de_aztec, are really classy and well done. It's a bit of a shame they didn't pay more attention to some of the other maps which were more or less straight ports, though.

I'm not finding any trouble identifying enemies. All your allies have blue marks over their heads. Personally I really like the detail put into the character models. They're context appropriate for the map settings and very detailed.

I think Demolition may be my favorite mode, even over Arms Race. I fucking love Gungame, but Demo brings in the more structured, team-based elements of normal CS in, while reducing the player counts (The rounds are much, much shorter than normal 'classic' rounds due to the games being 6v6), and keeping the metagame and variety of Gungame. Plus the maps they made for Demo are way better. Baggage is alright, but Shoots (the hut one) is a terrible way too open clusterfuck without rhyme or reason. Pretty much all the Demolition maps (especially Bank, Safehouse, Lake House, and Shorttrain (which is 4 out of 6 Demo maps btw)) are fantastic. Really makes me want to make one for myself.

Yeah! I love to play Demolition and Arms Race modes. I prefer the latter atm because it enables me to learn the new weapons faster (and I seem to win almost every time, lol). The game desperately needs more Arms Race maps (I want to make one! ) because, like you said, the hut level is shit. Completely shit. The other one is good because it has a lot of possible flows for each team, good shooting points and the layout create some good opportunities to surprise the enemy from behind. I like the Demolition mode maps! That level with the house in the center is really interesting.

Also The grayscale color correction at the beginning of a round sucks, in gungame you cant tell apart the enemies from your team at all when you respawn .

This I totally agree with. They use it as an indicator of your spawn protection, but just because you can use a filter or overlay in place of a HUD element doesn't mean you SHOULD. It's possible to be TOO minimal.
